Sir Elton John lost sight of his British etiquette when he snubbed former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin at the TIME 100 gala Wednesday night.
"It's nice to be at an event where you meet some unusual people, like Sarah Palin," said the Brit, immediately following his remark with an eyebrow raise.
When asked who he wanted to meet most at the gala, Elton followed with another jab saying, "Not Sarah Palin but anybody else would be fine."
Fellow TIME 100 honorees included actor Neil Patrick Harris, Taylor Swift, Ben Stiller and Ashton Kutcher.
"I can't even get my dogs to listen to me, so I don’t know how influential I really am," said Kutcher, with wife Demi Moore on his arm. "This is one of those lists that you can't even imagine being on. I mean, I've been on the Razzies like three times so I'm getting used to that. This one, I don’t know if I'm going to get used to."
Comedian Andy Sandberg also made the annual list and had the special honor of being the gala's emcee.
"I'm more curious than nervous. This is certainly a new type of room for me to play," Sandberg told reporters before the ceremony began. But once behind the podium, Sandberg looked completely at ease as he called the TIME 100 list the "nerd's choice awards" and received roars from the audience.

Bernie Taupin was the one with the talent, if not for him, Reg would still be playing Happy Hours at the Ramada Inn.
That just proves my point further. THEY ARE THE ENEMY. There’s not reason SUPERSTARS like Beck and Palin need to go there. It says something about their character that they NEED to be there, they still have a need to be accepted by the other side. Again, that’s how I feel.

I don’t know...our side has this weird need to be accepted by the people who hate them. She’s been pretty good..and I don’t want her falling into the trap. There’s so much to do..I’m obsessed with 2010. I want everyone else to be as well! When are you coming to visit me?
I’m making two trips soon - one in June and the other in July and staying a while. Don’t know the dates yet...lol. I will definitely tell you!!!

It just makes me kinda happy that she did not have to touch him out of civility. Thanks for sparing her the yucky moment, elton.
The pictures I saw suggested that she held court at her own table and received gracious visits from many famous people. I bet she didn’t even notice old Reg was missing from the line of people waiting to see her.

I don’t know. That is just a still picture taken from the video of Sir John’s last colonoscopy.
I thinkl Time magazine put Sarah on the list mostly because NO ONE rally cares aboput all the others who made the list, with very few exceptions. Without Sarah, no one would have known this event even occured.
