A special salute to all that have served and their respective families, thank you from this grateful American. Also a special thank you and salute to my Late Father who served proudly in the United States Army.
Good Morning Conor on this Memorial Day. Thank you for your service to our Country!
Good Morning tiapam....wishing you a nice Memorial Day as we all remember with heavy hearts.
Good Morning Dave, I would like to thank you for your service to our Country also as we remember all our fallen. Also paying tribute to my hubby as a 4 year Navy Hospital Corpsman.
Heavy hearts we have but so thankful to those who have given their all and for those who were willing to do the same.
Have a nice Memorial Day. Hope you are feeling a little better by now...!!
Thank you Amy and Thank you for the thread for me to post them!
Hey, JC! Sorry we missed connections. I checked several times for pings - and tried to answer all of them. Did I miss one from you?
It was a difficult day for me yesterday - everything really tugged at my heart, especially when I heard Ray Charles singing “America The Beautiful”.

So many pictures flooded into my mind of the way our country “used to be” and how much has been taken from us all in such a short time.
Our Soldiers died to protect that Freedom!
It is something we all are going through right now, I am sure - and we must not give up hope.
Here is your favorite - singing “America the Beautiful”:

I’m so glad you got to hold your lil’ GGdaughter. I’ll bet when she looked up at you, and grinned her little toothless grin, that you got those lovely ‘baby-love goose-bumps’!
Now, where are the pictures?? We want PICTURES!
Oh, Amy what a beautiful experience for Marissa, AND you! I can just see her placing flowers on the grave of a WWII Vet! It warms my heart. Thank you for sharing it with us.
No, I don’t guess you missed any...I just wrote to tell you why I left so quickly. After they called, I had to hurry and shower and dress and go....LOL! I believe I answered some of your posts, the best I remember. I said I was glad to go because of the sadness we all feel on Memorial Day!
Barbara just called and we both ran our phones down...thank goodness I have the second one to go to when one dies besides the cell. I’m gonna listen to your music in just a moment. Thank you for the links!
I will post some tomorrow. Why do I hate loading them into the computer so bad? (just don’t take the time I guess) I promised Meg I would post the pictures of my redbuds a month ago and they are still in the camera. Bad me, but I will get’er done SOON!!
___________________________________________________________ Priorities. Daily putting individual desires, duties, family, work, entertainment first is the root of many other things moving us away from God. Greed, pride, selfishness, self concern, ego, success, etc.
Love the LORD they God with all thy heart, all thy soul, all thy strength, and all thy mind, is the greatest commandment and to love our neighbor as our self is like unto it. On these do all the rest of the commandments hang.
We know this ... do we honestly live this way? Why not? ___________________________________________________________ "Mark 12:29-32 (New King James Version) 29 Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. 30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.[a] This is the first commandment.[b] than these. 32. So the scribe said to Him, Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He." Thank You, for this day and the blessings of this moment to moment, bless America, help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
I may quit posting. I did a beautiful Memorial graphic and poem (I thought) this morning and not one soul has mentioned it! You know I get that way sometimes. Maybe I should change my ping list....LOL!
This is beautiful, tiapam! Thank you.
Best intentions but hubby and JR changed my plans.
We are going to a local cemetary for Memorial Day Activities and want to make it early enough to catch the fly-over.
I promise that I will be back later.
Thank you for being here.
Good morning to you, too Jaycee! Hope you have a great Memorial Day, as well! Will you be with family? It’s certainly been a “Heavy Hearted” weekend! *HUGS*
Thank you for your post, seoul62. And thanks to your late father for serving our country in the U.S. Army!!
Thank you for this tribute of Memorial Day music by Taylor Hicks, Billie! The music, words and graphic are so touching.
