It wasn't coiled, but just kinda like a giant piece of spaghetti that dropped on the carpet.
Kinda like this: Diamondback Rattlesnake
G U L P~~~~I hope I never see one of those in my life. When we first moved into this house, we saw several snakes during that first year. This land had been woods and I guess we tore up their homes. Most of our snakes aren’t poisonous...but you could run into a poisonous one here and there. I hardly know one from the other. The only one I know is a black snake and garter snake. (I think thats the name of it.) When I was little, I thought they said garden snake.
Thanks for posting the pepper list, very informative!
(I can make nuclear chili as either a food stuff, or a self protection item, (I’ll sell a bunch!) I’ll be able not rate my chili by the ‘megaton’ rating system.)
If I can find a way to persuade Nancy to move to Arizona (like finding a job!), I could finally enjoy serious food level incinerating chilies again. Actually, we are considering moving out of liberal lala land (Minnetaxasota) and get back with real people who actually love this country!
Well, when the women politicians show up in red they always call it their ‘power clothes’.
You and I need to buy some power clothes, lol!
Goin’ NUCLEAR, are ye?
I’m thankful you were not seriously hurt. Those garbage bins can be dangerous. It’s really nice to have a few minutes to actually drop in here every few hours. My life has become a constant whirlwind of activity. I have missed you guys. Hope that everything (other than the bruises) is going well in your life, Billie. Good to see you here.
There WILL be lots of jobs in AZ, if the border gets at least HALF closed. The weather is lovely, most of the time - no tornados, no hurricanes, no blizzards, no flooding, no earthquakes, no tsunamies, no volcanoes, (well not usually), but you’ll have to deal with CRITTERS - and accept them as part of this land. (But, I’m gonna kill me some MOLES - I think they are criminals and here illegally!)
Hey - war is war. (I just won’t kill any critters (or even maim them) .................................except MOLES! NOW, I’m on a rampage, and fully locked and loaded!
My son does the same thing, jaycee. He has jerry-rigged my computer with a new modem here and a new power pack there, and so on since the beginning of my computer. I don’t think there is anything but the shell left of the original. He has a room full of old computer parts that I try to throw away every time I clean his business studio. It’s like trying to throw away your husbands favorite raggedy old sweater. Major conflict.
...gophers? ...squirrels? (destructive)
Grab your dreams, and hold tight to them - tomorrow they will fade away and won’t even be remembered.
Cherish them, build on them, grow with them and make them your reality.
Moles are the only critter that I have to contend with on our little homestead. Of course WV must have the largest population of white tail deer in the world. It is very hazardous to drive around here. I’ve not seen a snake since coming to WV in 92. If you ever figure out a way to deal with the Moles, let me know. Nothing is working.
Pocket gophers and moles - they are now digging up my bed of wildflowers, and eating the roots of the most beautiful tree that is probably 200 years old. They leave mounds of dirt, and big holes. Now they are destroying a 40 year old Bird of Paradise. And, I am MAD!
About 10 years ago, I bought some Mole killing strychnine powder. (Directions: put 3 T. into each hole every day at dusk.)
(I hate to kill any living thing, but these guys ate over two dozen marigold plants that I had planted in the previous weeks.)
So........I headed out to the holes - with the container of strychnine. I found the first hole - filled the measuring spoon with the deadly poison, and just before I spilled it into the hole - a little furry critter popped his head out, and..........made.........eye.........contact..........with........me, and disappeared.
OK - I decided to try ‘other’ ways............LOL. (I threw the strychnine out!)
Things don’t always work the way we wish, but you have wonderful thoughts and a lovely way of expressing them.
Thank you!
