My son does the same thing, jaycee. He has jerry-rigged my computer with a new modem here and a new power pack there, and so on since the beginning of my computer. I don’t think there is anything but the shell left of the original. He has a room full of old computer parts that I try to throw away every time I clean his business studio. It’s like trying to throw away your husbands favorite raggedy old sweater. Major conflict.

My son had pieces and parts of computers in a room of their own. It looked like a computer store. When he moved a little over a year ago, he got rid of a lot of that stuff that he knew he would never use. (A good move would be good for all of us.) It helps us to get rid of ‘stuff’.

Sweaters, gosh, don’t mention it. Years ago my husband had the worst sweater and it zipped up the front. He wore it all the time. It was ratty looking and one time I decided to get rid of it with a lot of other things from both our closets. Well, he forever talked about his sweater. It was mostly in fun but he told everyone that I threw away his most favorite sweater...and it went on and on...and he said he would never get over it. Oh, well, what can I say?
