There WILL be lots of jobs in AZ, if the border gets at least HALF closed. The weather is lovely, most of the time - no tornados, no hurricanes, no blizzards, no flooding, no earthquakes, no tsunamies, no volcanoes, (well not usually), but you’ll have to deal with CRITTERS - and accept them as part of this land. (But, I’m gonna kill me some MOLES - I think they are criminals and here illegally!)
Moles are the only critter that I have to contend with on our little homestead. Of course WV must have the largest population of white tail deer in the world. It is very hazardous to drive around here. I’ve not seen a snake since coming to WV in 92. If you ever figure out a way to deal with the Moles, let me know. Nothing is working.

Well, that sounds like a good deal for Arizona! (No blizzards! Oh now you have me!)

We rent a large CO2 extinguisher, (the kind on wheels) and have the extinguisher company deliver it with a long hose. We put the hose into the mole hole, cover it, and turn the gas on, the hole is filled with CO2 and displaces the oxygen. No more moles and no harm to the lawns and landscaping. (By the way, this same trick works on wasp and hornet nests, be they under the eves or in the foundation!)
A nifty note on the wild pigs, a lot of companies sell ‘bird bombs’ a legal form of fire cracker that really makes a boom. A buddy of mine used them down in Texas to scare the pigs off his land. Waited until they were really into snacking on the shrubs, and tossed one out into the yard. The blast had the pigs in a panic, one even did a ‘keystone kops’ routine bouncing off a car tire trying to beat a fast path back to the scrub. He didn’t see them again for nearly a month. One more ‘treatment’ and they didn’t come back! (Insert evil grin here)
