Amen
Some say screaming but she has a great set of pipes. Power
Effortless power
Geez, don’t start crying, Crystal.
They wrote her a better song but it still stinks. It won't sell on i-tunes imo. Too draggy. Whole season, drag, drag, drag. Are fast songs against the California speed limit? Now I have a headache. Well, I don't like either songs, either singer. I'm not choosing. I'm not buying their poor excuse for songs.
Well Crystal’s single sounds better but fat chance any top-40 radio station will play that. But you’ll be able to find it on the ‘Lite favorites from the 80’s 90’s and today’ station.
This song was proof that a slow song doesn’t have to drag.
She really nailed it.
She has a stunning career ahead of her.
Yeah, my choice is neither.
I agree. She absolutely nailed the song.
Time for ass kissing.
Crystal is a good singer, but has zero likability or charisma. I wouldn’t expect much from her. Lee has potential as do several others on the season, but no amazing performances like we have seen in years past. I’d vote for Lee here but tonight wasnt all that good. They hurt him with the U2 pick at the end, too.

I respectfully disagree.
Maybe I am too much in her camp, but I felt emotion from her as such a song should evoke.
Simon’s last critique: “That was outstanding.”
The sound this year not good.
Yeah, what was with the U2 pics?
Only three songs each tonight.
Crystal's last song (and possibly first single) is "Up To The Mountain" by Patty Griffin. This is what Crystal does best. This is awesome. Just perfect.
Randy: This is what this show is about. An amazing song by an amazing singer. That was incredible! Incredible!
Ellen: We're always looking for someone unique. You are in a league of your own. Beautiful voice. So clear. It pulls you in. I'm so happy to witness the rise of your career.
Kara: You were completely emotionally invested in that song. You blossomed. A-may-zing!
Crystal takes a moment to thank Simon and wish him good luck.
Simon: I appreciate that, thank you. (applause) (he liked her performance) Since this is my final critique, let me say that was outstanding.
Correct. That ballad is not top 40 bound. Maybe R & B top 200?
Wowzersox Round 1: Bobby McGee. I love this song and she rendered it well.
Round 2: Black Velvet - good choice. Great choice. Loved it!
Round 3: The Mountain - Wow. Just, wow.
Flee Round 1: The Boxer - it was ok. Kind of vanilla.
Round 2: REM might need to go on the banned list.
Round 3: No no NO! You're not allowed to butcher U2 tunes, dangit.
SUMMARY STATS:
Round 1: Wowzersox
Round 2: Wowzersox
Round 3: Wowzersox Plus bonus points for being classy and gracious.
Winner by a mile: Wowzersox. It's a shame that Lee didn't do better. He CAN do better, but I think the pressure got to him.

Just walked in to Crystal’s last number...am I the only one who wasn’t amazed and wowed? I was thinking—this is the finale of Idol?
I’m still Team Lee, but I won’t be sad if Crystal wins. Her last song was excellent.
Ouch. On that replay, CB went flat on “Black Velvet”. But her third song was definitely better.
Well, his dad is the same way from what I understand. I always liked Will Smith, although his lifestyle is probably not admirable. He keeps private stuff to himself, don’t hear too much about his private life, wish more stars would do that!
