“Ham, Potato Salad,.............”
___________________________________
After reviewing the many menus here, we are pretty close. We do the above but with fresh asparagus and deviled eggs. Since it’s just me and my DH we will cut it back some. Happy Easter and God Bless.
boiling crawfish at my house. Easter tradition.
oh yeah! share that please.
So sorry for your loss.
Of your Pastor.
Passed on Palm Sunday?
KV at 31 still likes me to put Easter Eggs around for the indoor hunt but now its the 2 Labs and Dachshand that are the hunters.
We dont like eggs but love having colored eggs for Easter so the dogs get to eat them.
One year one of the Labs got to em before I hid them and he ate the whole dozen in the time it took me to go to the bathroom and walk out into the kitchen...bad gas he had post that lil stunt.
That sounds like a great idea.
Peeps would be cheaper that a bag of marshmellows.
Thanks for the idea!
Having 31 people for dinner. Big family
I do the meat and dessert and others bring the rest.
YUM!!!
Dang ya made me want an easter basket like that now.
I love those two candies for Easter.
Or Seventh Day Adventists...
Have an uncle who is 7th day. Won’t eat the pork BUT he is GAY so he doesn’t mind getting por#%@... Go figure! I sure can’t.
HA! That’s a GREAT idea! I’m going to hide eggs for my dogs, they open Christmas gifts but never thought of the eggs.
The gas will be a draw-back but I bet the giggles I get from their hunting will make the suffering after worth it!
Thanks, Global and Happy Easter!
Same to you!
The shells donts seem to bother them either they eat it all.
Enjoy!
We are having quite a few people.
Fresh ham(pork roast) cooked Cuban style with a little garlic, lots of onions, some milk and water in the slow cooker.
Also
lamb with mint jelly
Lemon dill yellowtail snapper
Eggplant casserole
Asparagus
new potatoes
Mashed yams
Tossed salad
Apricot flavor jello salad with apricots in it, and a cream cheese topping
Desserts are Key Lime pie, Banana Pudding, chocolate cake with white 7 minute frosting and one that has no name:
You take tortillas/ soft tacos, cut them into wedges; put cinnamon and sugar(raw sugar is best, white sugar is fine) on them. Bake them until crisp. In a bowl combine blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, honeydew and cantaloupe cut into very small pieces. Add a jar of jam, I usually use raspberry. You can use a sugared jam or one like Polanders with little sugar. Add a little water, a little sugar if you want. Dip the baked wedges in the fruit mixture.
I was hoping for a huge pot of spaghetti sauce with meatballs, but my daughter in law said she didn’t think that would go with deviled eggs so she is expecting ham and yeast rolls from me.
What she doesn’t know is she will get the sauce and meatballs, just not on Easter Sunday. So now I’m thinking she’s finagled me into 2 dinners. She’s so smart.
Bumpity Bump~
ping
I may have to try this casserole! Have you ever added diced potatoes to the dish? They would have to be pre cooked maybe like a country hashbrown?
BBQ chicken and sausage.
Homeade tater salad.
Fresh veggies from the garden.
A beer or three late in the evening.
I’m fond of them. Now they have sugar-free too. nom, nom
Float them in hot chocolate - cut into a salad - esp jello.
There are a variety of ways to eat.
But - uh, the SF can stir up the stomach if too many are eaten at once. ‘nuff said.
