(((HUGS)))My daughter in law did my shopping..It is a shower, too.
She also bought restaurant gift cards for me to help out my very fragile preemie great nephew’s parents...She is so good to help me..

Brooks was born March 7...due in June...I have been meaning to start a prayer tread but just did not feel I could properly man it..All prayers are needed and appreciated.
He’s hanging in there..many problems of course..The parents are a darling Christian couple with a lot of faith and many friends.
My sister in law(late husband’s youngest brother’s wife and the grandmother) is helping care for the 18 month old.
The mom is keeping us updated on Caring Bridge...a wonderful site.

Oh dear, (((Kitty))) I am so sorry. My daughter has had her second shot to try to ease her problems..She has two herniated discs..
Her first shot did not seem to work but after 8 to 10 days it suddenly did help..Foot pain and numbness remained so they did target the right area for the second shot..Hope it kicks in soon.
I hesitate to complain because as far as we can tell...my pain is not caused by herniated discs.
It nevertheless has brought me to my knees at times...and made a “bed potato “of me. Getting my feet up helps.
It got to the point where nothing stopped the pain, however.
Thank you for your prayers..May God place his healing hands on you, dear Kitty.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Thank you to Everyone who Lifted Prayers for Sydney and her Friends, as they Embark on a Dangerous Missionary Trip to Uganda.

May I Ask your Prayers for a Precious Premature Baby named Brooks, who was Born on March 7th, but was Due in June. (Please See Post #1862) He Needs a Touch from Heaven, from our Merciful Savior who Loves him Dearly.

Our Abba, with All our Hearts we Pray for Baby Brooks, Asking that You would Give his Little Body Health and Strength. May this Sweet Child be Blessed, and One Day be a Great Man of God. May he Bring Joy to Many, and Show the World Your Wonderful Love.

Please Guide his Doctors and All who Care for him in Everything they Do, Lord. May Your Grace Surround this Child, and May Your Peace Fill his Family's Heart.

Thank You for Your Lovingkindness, our Compassionate Shepherd-King. In Jesus' Name, for Your Eternal Glory and Praise, amen.

We lift up this tiny little Brooks to You!
We know You allow these things to happen to show us the sanctity and preciousness of life no matter how small.
Brooks has a name, a personality, a life, and a family who loves her.
Thank You for Brooks, Dear Father.
Keep Her warm in Your Loving Hands and nurture her till she is ready to face this world on her own, clear eyed and strong, and full of vigor.

Thank you, Sweet Meg, and I'm Thankful for your Prayers. I was Stunned that my Dr. told me I may have to Refrain from Bending, Indefinitely, and that my Life of Strenuous Outside Work is over. I did have a Reprieve from this Condition for 4 Years after my Surgery, but I was Hoping for More, Lol.

My Heart is Glad, Dear Sister in Christ, that your Daughter is Feeling Better, and I Pray the 2nd Shot will Relieve the Foot Pain and Numbness. That is the Frightening Thing to me about Discs, the Leg and Feet Symptoms.

May your Pain Level Improve Greatly, Dear Meg, and our Savior's Touch be upon you. It Hurts my Heart that you have been in Discomfort and Pain.

Thursday.
"Brooks's PDA has closed thanks to the indomethacin!.
There is the possibility it could open back up but for.
now, it's closed and we celebrate that..
.
They have started his feedings again (back to 1 cc every 6 hours) and he seems to be tolerating them..
We are still on hold with a central line whether that's .
another try at a PICC line or the Broviac but he has one .
PIV in each little hand right now and that's okay for now. .
He's getting another blood transfusion today.".

Friday.
"Yesterday turned out to be a big day for Brooks..
Yesterday afternoon when we visited, Dr. Burgess told us .
they had tried one more time for a PICC line with.
no luck. He then said he was able to arrange to have a .
doctor come over from Children's to do the central venous .
catheter. This was a world of relief for us. To not have to .
transport Brooks to and from Children's and have the.
procedure done bedside gave us some comfort..
.
Although this is consider a minor surgical procedure, to.
us, there was definitely nothing minor about it. But, he.
now has the central line in and all went very well. They.
decided to go in through his leg instead of his neck but all went well. God is great! The blood transfusion was a .
success and when we visited last night, our little angel.
was doing great. They still have an IV in his hand and may.
keep it there for a little bit. The nurse commented that .
nothing had really slowed Brooks down and that he was "spunky." Love it. That's our little boy!.

UPPERS extraction surgery is scheduled for Friday morning 09:00 MTN DAYLIGHT TIME.

Lower dentures still painful after 11 visits or so . . . trying to wear them more ‘so you’ll wear enough of a sore so I can more clearly tell where to grind on them.’

Then he tells me he’s not REALLY a sadist! LOL.
