Wanted to say hi, left - am only half-watching American Idol tonight while reading and answering pings on today’s thread. Another pretty scripture/graphic from you. Thank you.
I would be glued to the tv this morning, too, if I’d known about the poor horse trapped in a sand bar and finally rescued. Want to see the YouTube, so I’m letting it download right now. Thank goodness for that anonymous doner.
No, I didn't see it. Wish I had. Dang it! I'm just ready to see him in concert again. Think he's tied up in Grease until June, but don't have any idea what his plans are after that.
Hi, weinie and lonestar!
Ohhh, now there’s a lovely couple if there ever was one. I have always loved that picture. What a happy time.
Our Census form came in the mail today. Since they’re probably not counting dogs, horses, or donkeys, ours will be really quick to complete!

There was one thing that bothered me a little. They asked for both your age and your birth date. Not sure why they needed both.
In the 1850 census they asked what state or country you were born in and that was very helpful for genealogy so I wished they had asked that this year. By knowing my ancestors age in 1850 and that they were born in South Carolina enabled me to ascertain that they were in South Carolina during the Revolutionary War. I guess it would have been nice to know their birthday but wasn’t really necessary to place them.
I still haven’t been able to determine exactly when my folks came over but I know it was before the Revolution.
Luv, she 'will' be ridable soon. We've had her with a trainer for a little over a month. She is gentle, but very green. She's pretty young - I think about 5 years old, and doubt she had been ridden much if any. (I'M not a good rider - my husband is the horseman. I'll probably just pet her and brush her!)
That was a wonderful thing for y’all to do! I am sure she
and Zekie will be very happy having each other for companionship.
That ‘anonymous donor’ paid $1,800 an hour just for the helicopter, but there was a vet there, and I think they said 13 people. The ‘donor’ probably paid three grand at the minimun to rescue “Colorado”. I also posted earlier (#1573) how the horse was stranded, and what led up to the rescue.
The owner of “Colorado” was just on TV, standing next to his horse, and telling how much this rescue meant to him. He was crying.......
Thank you, tiapam. I didn’t think about the Titanic, but now that you mention it, it does a little. That whole movie was so romantic. (also its theme song I LOVE as well - can hear Celine Dion singing it right now) :)
Currently 73 degrees, bright sunshine and trees are already losing their blossoms (amonds, dogwood, and a few peach trees). PS = Amonds was diliberately mis-spelled cuz at harvest time, the mechanical shakers they use, shake the L right out of those amond trees. We had beautiful warm weather Sunday, but yesterday and today have been breezy and cold again. I don't know which trees have solid white blossoms, but we're seeing those in full bloom here - no peach or amonds yet. :)
Aw, thanks for the sweet mouse with the even sweeter bluebird. :) (I’ve been seeing you and yorkie playing with mice.) :)
Thank you Billie for sharing your story about Gracie. It drives me CRAZY how some people treat animals. The person or persons who tied Gracie to a tree should have that done to them and see how they like it. I’m glad she has a good home now.
And by the way, I love Celion’s music also. Have seen her concert twice in Phoenix and when she had her show in Las Vegas. Excellent!
You are sooooooooooo Funny. The mouse is actually kind of cute. You don’t know which one I’m talking about, do you? LOL!
Just finished watching the YouTube rescue - what an emotional 3 minutes. I hope that Colorado can get over that whole traumatic experience without any long-lasting, ill effects.

I bet I do! Isn’t it cute? Yorkie and I were talking about how cute mice really are! Too bad they will eat anything in sight or out of sight...LOL! (I just woke up from the chair) and getting ready for bed in a few minutes.)
