Talking about breakfast, you reminded me of something my father in law said years ago. He had this very dry sense of humor and if you didn’t know him, you might wanna slap him. When my MIL cooked fried eggs, occasionally she would let the outside get a little brown, crispy, as you say. Well, he would speak up and say “Hattie, if I had wanted a collar around my egg, I would have ordered it that way.” What a guy he could be.

Currently 73 degrees, bright sunshine and trees are already losing their blossoms (amonds, dogwood, and a few peach trees).
PS = Amonds was diliberately mis-spelled cuz at harvest time, the mechanical shakers they use, shake the “L” right out of those amond trees.
Yeah. Wasn’t anything asked that hasn’t been asked on the forms for the last three or four times. Took about 5 minutes and mine is ready to go back. I don’t remember what they asked in ‘50 & ‘60. I was too young in ‘50 and in the Navy in ‘60 but this form was about the same as from ‘70 on.
That was wonderful. I had seen a real short piece on it but this was a lot better as I got to see them get her down. Bless its heart. I’m so glad people care so much.

Poor baby! Such a sad story with such a happy ending! Love the generosity of people willing to help. There’s a lot of great people around and this proves it.
