Two parts of an ancient biblical manuscript separated across centuries and continents were reunited for the first time in a joint display Friday, thanks to an accidental discovery that is helping illuminate a dark period in the history of the Hebrew Bible.

what a great article; it reads like a movie plot for Nicolas Cage! unreadable scroll fragment is sent from NC to Jerusalem, a scholar sees a news photo and knows enough about the fragment to match it up to its readable sister, part of a private collection back in NY. Amazing stuff!
