Is Sam Worthington Replacing Daniel Craig for Bond 23?
Cinema Spy ^ | 02.16.2010

His name’s Worthington. Sam Worthington. But there’s a chance he might be the next 007, too.

Online sources are connecting the Avatar star to Ian Fleming’s famed British super-spy, while other rumors suggest Daniel Craig might be on the way out. According to Digital Spy, the Australian Worthington has been named by betting agencies as the most likely star to replace Craig, who starred in 2006’s Casino Royale and 2008’s Quantum of Solace.

Maybe he would have made a good Bond:

James Brolin did a screen test for Bond. It's actually on the Octopussy DVD special features:

Timothy Dalton had it nailed before Craig did; he just didn’t have the right scripts.

"The last person to do that was Leo DiCaprio. "

How did this guy's career turn out...

Just a thought.

This guy looks a little...er...light to be playing a hard secret agent.

Frankly, I think Craig is the best Bond since Connery. He’s fit and believeable as someone who can carry an 007 designation.

"They tried a guy who looks just the opposite and he didn't catch fire."

Didn't catch fire? Casino Royale earned over $575 million in worldwide box office. That's enormous. And, Quantum of Solace almost equaled that.

Worthington is what, about 35yrs old. Maybe with a bit more hair he'd look better. Sure beats Daniel Craig, who reminds me of Putin. Sean Connery will always remain James Bond to me.

well since it was shortly after judgment day the resistance was mainly made up of the remnants of the US Army and skynet had not achieved superiority. so yeah they’d have airfields and A-10s, along with the support crews to maintain them.

But I thought that America’s enemies targetted US military installations during JD, so doesnt that mean that airfields would be destroyed? My apologies for the geek questions..

Fair enough. I've got a couple others for you to think about.

I haven't heard anything from these two guys in a while...

or, nothing from this lady...

And finally, it seems like this woman fell off the face of the earth.

Personally I would love to see some of the Roger Moore Bond flicks redone as period stories in the 50s and 60’s, following the stories as they were done in the novels, without the gadgets and superhero stuff. Call it “Ian Flemming’s Moonraker”, etc.

Wasn't there a little girl in that movie too? I wonder whatever happened to her?

She turned into a drug-abusing, bi-sexual who gave David Letterman a lap-dance on air and frequently spews ridiculously ignorant political statements. She occasionally still acts, although from what I understand, in nothing that's worth watching, at least sober.
