"24" Themed Countdown Clock (1 Minute)
Set in New York City, "Day Eight" unfolds amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations as President Allison Taylor (Jones), alongside new chief of staff ROB WEISS (Chris Diamantopoulos), negotiates international security with OMAR HASSAN (Anil Kapoor), a determined Middle Eastern leader visiting the U.S. on a peacemaking mission. As the new day begins, an upgraded CTU operates under the command of M.B.A.-schooled, razor-sharp head honcho BRIAN HASTINGS (Mykelti Williamson), who supervises quirky CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub), expert data analyst DANA WALSH (Katee Sackhoff) and systems analyst ARLO GLASS (John Boyd).
COLE ORTIZ (Freddie Prinze Jr.), an ex-Marine who wants to follow in Bauer's footsteps, leads field operations while Agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching) returns with an agenda of her own. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television in association with Teakwood Lane Productions.

My son recommended “Breaking Bad,” and I watched three episodes and just couldn’t get into it. But “Entourage?” Love it.

I am REALLY going to miss this show. The last was the best season ever imo. Jack went out like John Elway: alive and on top of his game.

Thanks, GRRRRR for your weekly 24 pings. It is very sad to see 24 end. (sniff)

Thanks so much for your Pings, GR.
For the last couple years I have followed them after watching the show on Hulu. My TV is not cable ready and I refused to buy the needed box.
I do not understand why they pulled the plug on the show. I thought the rating were strong and this season was very, very good. Sad to see it go but very pleased a movie is in the works.

Well Freeper FRiends...that's it. Eight seasons of "24" plus a Movie I hope...it has been my honor to have PINGED you all for this last season. Thank you so much for all the pings, GRRRRR! I may not have always commented on the thread(s), but I've been watching. Can't believe "24" has ended forever, on television anyway. Kind of mystifying why such a successful show has been cancelled.
Can't wait for the movie!

I'm wicked bummed out, Nutmeg!
Watching 24 was really something I looked forward to each week. Like you, I can't imagine why they canceled the program.
Nuts, and nuts again to those who took away 24 ~!
To: warsaw44
Hi Warsaw!
Yeah, I never heard what the reason was that they cancelled the show. So many new shows don't make it these days, you'd think Fox would keep a good thing going for awhile longer anyway. I'll miss it... :-(

I like Entourage but it is SOOO dirty!
That and the constant drug use...yech.
But I enjoy Ari Gold’s scenes, and Lloyd’s tryoing to become an agent, and the lifestyles of the rich and famous!
See ya’,

Judging from just this last season, 24 needs to be put to rest... permanently.

Yes, and it’s not like it would cost her any political capital, what with going to prison anyway for ordering a hit on a medical team.
On the other hand, I would guess that pardoning a man who assassinated a high-ranking diplomat would be considered an act of war.
I still don’t understand why Logan killed Pillar. That was just spiteful.

Don't know if anyone saw this or wants to post to the whole list, but there's an auction of 24 props and clothing used on the show at http://www.vippartnership.com/Auctions/24_Auction.html
Looks real, but haven't had time to check it out. Anyone want Audrey's coat?

Dittoes...sigh...I guess I’ll just have to watch the recording, since the season isn’t due out on DVD until December.
Last year it was available the day after the season ended...
