Does she have a clearance? If she doesn’t then that is the issue.
“Make your own job.”
Absolutely a great idea.
Looking for a pilot position. Have a CFI/CFII/MEI and Commercial AMEL/ASEL with Instrument. PM for hours and resume.
Make your own pilot job. Use your commercial pilot’s license to allow you to fly banners. Pick a low-fuel-burn aircraft, possibly even a hot air balloon or two man blimp...aircraft are selling and renting at low rates at this point in the economy.
Offer to take local radio reporters up in the air for traffic surveys and ad promotions, too.
Make your own job...cause there really isn’t any hiring going on.

if you do not post any html code, but post a link (URL) in it’s entirety with the http etc, the forum will make it a live link.
if you look under the post you are replying to when replying, you’ll see this:
This forum allows optional use of most HTML tags. If your post does not contain HTML, it will be converted to HTML when posted, retaining paragraphs as typed. This conversion is not performed if you have anything resembling an HTML tag in your text.
If you can produce a product or a service, and sell it to someone (company, client, individual, etc.), you don't need an employer.
Trying as I type this to make that very sentence happen...

Thanks for the tips though! I'm with you in spirit.
If it flies, I can fly it. Anywhere to anywhere. :)
God bless you and good luck M Kehoe.
It’s always good for one to have a skill, product, service that is marketable.
You don’t need to own an airplane. For one thing, many aircraft owners aren’t flying. One could easily be enticed to cut you a deal for access to flying his/her aircraft.
Another way is to rent an aircraft by the flight hour; when I say aircraft, I mean anything from a C172 to a hot air balloon, an entire range of aircraft are available by the hour.
Line up your banner clients (this is an election year so include politicians and groups that are lobbying your state capitol such as liquor stores, teachers’ unions, etc.) and then rent according to your established demand.
Aircraft are also being chartered to Haiti and Chili for relief missions right now, so you might want to put in your name with various charitable organizations as a pilot who will work on the cheap...not everyone at non-profit organizations is unpaid, after all!
Alaska has strong demand for pilots, as does the Gulf of Mexico for helicopter rides/ferrying. Ditto for war zones like Iraq and Afghanistan.
You *can* make your own job!
Well great.
Not having a specific location makes you very marketable.
I hope the links I posted for you are helpful.
