I wanted Todrick the pompest dancer to go home. I hope he goes next week. If Todrick wins the show, I will never watch this show again and I watched it since the very start of Season 1,Brian Dunkleman and all.

Todrick is the creepiest person in Idol since Corey Clark, the guy who slept with Paula and caused all that drama.

If Todrick wins Idol I hope the show goes off the air. The guy is a clown, he belongs in Neverland with the ghost of Michael Jackson. Maybe he can hook up with the "king of pop" oh wait... he's black, the king of pop only liked white boys...

Either way, Todrick is a dancer, I would bet my house he swings for the other team. His voice sucks. If he's only here because of the black vote then AI should just close down studios because this tool will win.

Voting for a black American Idol is more important than food stamps otherwise we wouldn't have Ruben and Fantasia. You see in this twisted crazy country voting based on race is more important than talent. So Todrick the freek will continue to climb the AI ladder of sucess cuz he is a gay black man.

If he was a gay white dancer he wouldn't have even made it to Hollywood Week.

Good for you 19 records your political correctness is biting you in the ass again. You picked a gay black for sympothy and guess what? No one will buy that crap.

I am actually going to hope Todrick the gay wins AI, to prove to 19 entertainment, fox and whoever else to quit picking fairies. The guy is a self absorded gay creep. Probably molested a nephew or phew, but it's ok because he fits the PC profile.

Actually if Todrick the gay dancer makes it to the top 12 I will quit watching AI, and I've watched every episode of AI since the start of season 1.

Wow, Todrick really doesn’t sit well with you! I kind of like him and am hoping he can stop doing too much with his songs and settle down. He’s got a great voice but doesn’t seem to know himself. He has that in common with Michelle who left today.

One thing I cannot stand about these guys is all of them that have the hair in their faces or weird mullets. I didn’t like it on Florence Henderson and these guys all look like idiots.

I guess the right people went home tonight, though I’d have sent Didi home first. She is as boring as anything.

I think the best boys are Big Mike and Lee. I had high hopes for Elton Garcia; what happened to him? Alex Lambert is the one with the amazing tone to his voice, right? But no personality. And Todrick doesn’t seem to know himself.

Crystal, Lilly, and Siobhan are the best girls, but Katelyn and Katie have good voices. The former is too phony and the latter is too earnest in the style of Archuleta.

I think a girl will win this season. The only unique personality with any star quality is Lee among the boys. The top 3 aforementioned girls all have some element of “it.”

why do some of the girls cry at the ones going home, it’s a contest, should be happy they aren’t going

Okay, I'm reading this thread the next morning, but here's my guess...

I noticed that they showed a close-up of Katie crying when Haeley was doing her goodbye song. My thought is that a few of the contestants spend much more time together than others, because in addition to regular rehearsals, they have to go through school/tutoring together due to their age and still being in high school. So they probably get a little more closer than others do.

Katie, Haeley and Aaron are the only three contestants still in high school, I think.

100% right in your post other than saying you like Todrick. The mullet guy looks like Bigfoot minus Ellen DeGenerate.

I agree with you that one of the girls will win. If I had to guess now I would say Krystal, she has the star quality the rest of them don't. The only guy who seems interested in singing is Big Mike. I like him, not because of his "story" but the guy can sing.

Idol pushes a "story" through each year, last year Danny Gokey who I also loved, once again not because of his story which was awful and sad but that man can sing. He should have won hands down. Then I wouldn't even see Adam Lambert's name anywhere near Itunes store.

Thank God FR isn't "politicallly correct" and I can say this but AI has a history of pushing the PC people through mainly gays and blacks, regardless of talent. Fantasia shouldn't have won, look at her career, Ruben Studdard couldn't get a gig at a carnival, and then you have Lambert who didn't win but is being pushed still. Why? Maybe the eye liner and the leather. Seems someone in 19 Entertainment likes to push the PC agenda down our throats.

I know Clay Aiken is gay but it seems his gayness didn't overpower Ruben's blackness even though Clay Aiken was the better singer in Season 2.

Clay Aiken sang "Unchained Melody" as Randy would say "off the hook". Ruben meanwhile is where???

I don't know why I'm a sucker for this show. But I have a very bad feeling Todrick will be pushed down our throats simply because he is gay and black. The ultimate candidate for the PC Folk at 19 Entertainment.

” Siobhan and Lee, final top 2. “

I with you............

Winner Siobhan. I think she can sing more varieties of songs than Lee and that will give her the edge.

Also you could hear her voice standout in the opening number last night.

I finally caught up with the thread - yay! :D

I don’t think Todrick is that bad, but the diva act is really going to hurt him if he doesn’t dial it back. Maybe that sort of attitude/oversinging is standard in the theater world, but it comes off all wrong on tv.

I still don’t get what’s so great about Lee; every time I see him I hear Seacrest saying, “Tonight, the part of Chris Daughtry/David Cook will be played by Lee DeWyze”, so I may be biased.

Alex Lambert is the one guy who seems to be improving with each week, but he needs to (1)Get over his stage fright, and (2)Get out of the 1974 Sears catalog (ditto Tim Urban). I think Big Mike will do well, but Aaron Kelly might be the ‘sleeper’ on the guys’ side (btw, does anyone else want to see Mike bench-press Aaron? That would make my season).

I wanted to like Didi, but she’s becoming a huge letdown. I didn’t think Page would still be here, but she’s growing on me. Katie needs to better explain who it is she wants us to vote for, and Lacey and Katelyn are basically placeholders right now. The girl’s contest will probably come down to Crystal, Lilly and Siobhan, but Crystal’s in danger of “push fatigue” if the judges don’t stop praising her so much. Siobhan is making me like her whether I want to or not, so that’s my pick right now.

Agree on DeWyze. There are thousands like him fronting for crappy bands playing in dives all over Ameica.

It’s a sin to compare him to Daughtry!

I am not sure if Todrick is gay or not. Has that been confirmed? For some reason he didn’t set off my gaydar like that pointy-headed church boy in the onesie.

I love Danny Gokey, he is an amazingly nice person, but I also love Adam Lambert’s SINGING. I was disgusted by his behavior on that show, but he has an amazing voice and can interpret a song with emotion and intelligence. If he can calm down his sexuality and get over it, like his fans had to, he’d be great.

Big Mike is good, and pleasant. Not sure he’d get a clubful of people to buy tickets to see him though.

I don’t see AI as being that PC, because otherwise they would not have let go last night BOTH black females, one black male and an Asian male.

I don’t mind the stories if they are relevant. A guy who just lost his wife, that is huge. It WILL play into his singing and his career, as even HE explained yesterday. A starving single mother, that would be important to know, too, and make you feel her singing better, perhaps. But someone who has a grandparent with Alzheimer’s, well, that is just pushing it. What next? A brother with a broken arm?

Great analysis. Especially:

Crystal’s in danger of “push fatigue” if the judges don’t stop praising her so much. Siobhan is making me like her whether I want to or not, so that’s my pick right now.

Crystal is really quite good, but she's not perfect; no one is. And apparently her health is at risk. I hope she is not doing anything self-destructive when she has diabetes.

I can't stand Siobhan's nose ring and even her goofy smile bugs me. But man, she can sing.

I still don’t get what’s so great about Lee; every time I see him I hear Seacrest saying, “Tonight, the part of Chris Daughtry/David Cook will be played by Lee DeWyze”, so I may be biased.

ROFL! Thanks a LOT. Now you have ruined him for me. :)

Alex Lambert has got to stop puking, comb his hair away from his face, and sing like he's got a pair.

Fox: ‘Cowell replacement will be credible’

http://www.digitalspy.com/americanidol/news/a206993/fox-cowell-replacement-will-be-credible.html

Fox has claimed that Simon Cowell’s replacement on American Idol will be credible.

The music mogul recently confirmed that he would be departing the series in order to concentrate on the launch of the US version of The X Factor.

Since then, names including Howard Stern, Noel Gallagher, La Toya Jackson, Rodney Jerkins and Ryan Seacrest have been linked to the judging role.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Fox president Kevin Reilly said that none of the rumoured contenders will be offered the job.

“There’s just all sorts of conjecture out there, but I can tell you there’s been some interesting dialogue and interesting names. There’s going to be some very interesting developments on that front.”

He added: “I just want to say credibility is going to be very important to us. That’s going to be important to maintain.”

Alright, I apologize! I'm coming in late, makin' a scene, getting all up in your stuffs. New band actually has me p-r-a-c-t-i-c-i-n-g, so not much time to view and spew. However, I've roughly and superficially scanned all 6500+ post(Hilarious as usual)so I know what's going on and can comment with some reverence. (Golly, I love that word!)

Since I was SO WRONG last year about Megan Corkscrewery I'll be a slight bit cautious this year... I just don't feel it necessary again to try and convince Ms. Kitten or Mr. Jonny whose got it this year, after last years coo-cooish, arm flapping debacled exit with the quirky, no talent, give it up and not caring, burning bridges, disappointing your supporters to shame, two-tone tat biddy!

However, I'm REALLY liking the "What's a dark horse?", Siobhan Magnus. (What kind of stage name is that?) This cute freak who can take a song like "THINK" and kick it's ass, is stayin around!

It's quite interesting to see somebody who shows so different personalities, talking vs singing. This mohawk wearin' renegade Siobhan, most definitely can bring it!

She looked and sounded like the 19 year old girl in the interview, but when she came out to sing and turned into the hawt WOMAN singer she truly is.

I don't know what I was more enamored with, her legs or her singing?

To more lip drills!

Did you Siobhan's scream? It put anything Adam Lambert ever did to shame!

American Idol: Jennifer Hudson’s Wedding Plans

http://realitytvmagazine.sheknows.com/blog/2010/03/07/american-idol-jennifer-hudsons-wedding-plans/

American Idol runner-up, Jennifer Hudson is getting married! The new mom has been engaged to lawyer-turned-wrestler, David Otunga since the fall of 2008, but according to Otunga wedding plans are finally underway. Keep reading to find out the details on the dress, the rings, and the possible celebrity guests…

“We’ve picked a date,” David Otunga says about his upcoming wedding with American Idol star, Jennifer Hudson. Although a date and venue have been decided, the celebrity pair are staying mum on the specifics. Otunga did, however, share some of the details of their pending nuptials with Life & Style magazine.

“Jennifer has chosen her dress, but she won’t tell me much about that, obviously,” Otunga says. As for his own attire, Otunga definitely knows what he wants. ”I want my son and I to wear matching custom tuxedos!” he says. Otunga and the American Idol star welcomed the arrival of son, David Jr., in August of 2009.

Another detail that won’t be hard to agree on for Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga is the rings. “We know who we want to design them — Neil Lane, he made our engagement rings,” says Otunga. “And he’s a personal friend as well.”

So is there any chance that any of Jennifer Hudson’s fellow American Idol competitors will attend the wedding? ”It would be great if any of the former American Idols sang at the wedding. And it would be wonderful to have Jennifer sing — I’d love that,” Otunga says. One person who definitely won’t be taking the mic? Otunga himself! ”I don’t sing!” he says with a laugh.
