Wow, Todrick really doesn’t sit well with you! I kind of like him and am hoping he can stop doing too much with his songs and settle down. He’s got a great voice but doesn’t seem to know himself. He has that in common with Michelle who left today.

One thing I cannot stand about these guys is all of them that have the hair in their faces or weird mullets. I didn’t like it on Florence Henderson and these guys all look like idiots.

I guess the right people went home tonight, though I’d have sent Didi home first. She is as boring as anything.

I think the best boys are Big Mike and Lee. I had high hopes for Elton Garcia; what happened to him? Alex Lambert is the one with the amazing tone to his voice, right? But no personality. And Todrick doesn’t seem to know himself.

Crystal, Lilly, and Siobhan are the best girls, but Katelyn and Katie have good voices. The former is too phony and the latter is too earnest in the style of Archuleta.

I think a girl will win this season. The only unique personality with any star quality is Lee among the boys. The top 3 aforementioned girls all have some element of “it.”

100% right in your post other than saying you like Todrick. The mullet guy looks like Bigfoot minus Ellen DeGenerate.

I agree with you that one of the girls will win. If I had to guess now I would say Krystal, she has the star quality the rest of them don't. The only guy who seems interested in singing is Big Mike. I like him, not because of his "story" but the guy can sing.

Idol pushes a "story" through each year, last year Danny Gokey who I also loved, once again not because of his story which was awful and sad but that man can sing. He should have won hands down. Then I wouldn't even see Adam Lambert's name anywhere near Itunes store.

Thank God FR isn't "politicallly correct" and I can say this but AI has a history of pushing the PC people through mainly gays and blacks, regardless of talent. Fantasia shouldn't have won, look at her career, Ruben Studdard couldn't get a gig at a carnival, and then you have Lambert who didn't win but is being pushed still. Why? Maybe the eye liner and the leather. Seems someone in 19 Entertainment likes to push the PC agenda down our throats.

I know Clay Aiken is gay but it seems his gayness didn't overpower Ruben's blackness even though Clay Aiken was the better singer in Season 2.

Clay Aiken sang "Unchained Melody" as Randy would say "off the hook". Ruben meanwhile is where???

I don't know why I'm a sucker for this show. But I have a very bad feeling Todrick will be pushed down our throats simply because he is gay and black. The ultimate candidate for the PC Folk at 19 Entertainment.

I finally caught up with the thread - yay! :D

I don’t think Todrick is that bad, but the diva act is really going to hurt him if he doesn’t dial it back. Maybe that sort of attitude/oversinging is standard in the theater world, but it comes off all wrong on tv.

I still don’t get what’s so great about Lee; every time I see him I hear Seacrest saying, “Tonight, the part of Chris Daughtry/David Cook will be played by Lee DeWyze”, so I may be biased.

Alex Lambert is the one guy who seems to be improving with each week, but he needs to (1)Get over his stage fright, and (2)Get out of the 1974 Sears catalog (ditto Tim Urban). I think Big Mike will do well, but Aaron Kelly might be the ‘sleeper’ on the guys’ side (btw, does anyone else want to see Mike bench-press Aaron? That would make my season).

I wanted to like Didi, but she’s becoming a huge letdown. I didn’t think Page would still be here, but she’s growing on me. Katie needs to better explain who it is she wants us to vote for, and Lacey and Katelyn are basically placeholders right now. The girl’s contest will probably come down to Crystal, Lilly and Siobhan, but Crystal’s in danger of “push fatigue” if the judges don’t stop praising her so much. Siobhan is making me like her whether I want to or not, so that’s my pick right now.
