This is such a weird song for a girl to sing. And this arrangement is horrible.

You know, I think I’ve figured out what the problem is- from the fashions to the song choices to the pointless vocal runs, this season could be summed up like this:

She sings Creed's "With Arms Wide Open". It just sounds silly. Talk about no connection with the song. And she ends with a high note. MUTE.
Randy: Why do you make that face? Couple pitch problems? You just didn't do enough with it. Great opportunity to make it something different. Fell flat.
Ellen: I think you did do a lot with the song. Appreciated that. Like that you tried to do something different. Almost worked.
Kara: My favorite performance of yours ever. It may not have been technically perfect, but it was believable (WHAT?) I bought it. I bought you on this.
Simon: I'm kind of with Kara on this. I thought the first half was much, much stronger than the last. You didn't pick a safe song. Got 80% of it right.
