boooooooorrrrrring...
I agree
That reminded me of when Fantasia couldn’t read the lyrics so everything was replaced with, “Oooooh!” and “Yeaaaaah!”
Big Mike was great - it was an excellent arrangement that really showcased his singing.
Trust me -- this song was supposed to be gut wrenchingly soulful. This was like Wayne Brady doing it.
The shadow from Kara’s microphone is distracting...
I think the judges are going overboard on praise for this guy
LOL.
I thought it was too cruise shipy!
I agree...not neccessarily my kind of music but it suits his voice.
The shadow from her boobs are distracting.
Technically though, he did not miss a note. The singing was flawless. NOBODY is James Brown *ouch*
They did the same with Adam Lambert. They kissed his you know what all the time.
Yeah, it was very easy listening station instead of soul.
Oh great. John Park is going to saying some John Mayer. You know it’s going to be that hippy anthem.
They clearly don't know how important this song is, nor what it means, much less how it should be sung.
Those who don't know history are bound to judge it. Or, uh, something...
Big Mike is first tonight. He's forgoing the hoaky guitar and pop tunes this time. Singing "It's A Man's World". It suits him better than the pop-tart tune he sang last week.
The songs appear to be longer tonight, also.
Randy: I feel like right now this season is really getting rolling. Mike I gotta give it to ya. (stands and applauds) Crazy!
Ellen: (needs to switch to decaf) That was the one to beat. Everyone has to top that.
Kara: Mike, I didn't get it until tonight. You went from a singer to someone to who can be a star.
Simon: What a difference. It was like going from a pussycat to a lion in one week. This by far is the best performance you've given in this competition.
Mike, yet AGAIN, plays the baby card. Says his wife and baby will be there on Friday. Shoots his fingers at the camera.
Seacrest shoots his fingers at the camera too, lol
Whats the change they are talking about?
You know I'm waitin'
Waitin' for the d@!@# song to chaaaaange.
>>Technically though, he did not miss a note. The singing was flawless. NOBODY is James Brown *ouch*<<
Agreed. Very true (but not challenging the way he did it).
James Brown should be on that “don’t try this on stage” list, but I think his work is too old for this crowd. The same was true for Billie Holiday last week, but no one on the show said anything.
