Who chooses these songs...do the singers get to pick? If so, why are they all so stupid?From interviews with contestants, they are given a list of approved songs. They can request to sing a song not on the list, but then they have to wait for approval, which might be denied. If two contestants want to sing the same song, they pull their names from a hat. I get the impression that the contestants really don't have as much choice of songs as it seems.

Great news! My 23 month old, adorable, precious, grandson FINALLY calls me something!! I’m “Naw-Naw”!!!!! He has names for EVERYBODY else. NEVER called me anything! Calls his daddy “Dit”....he’s soooooo cute.

I always get nervous when they choose a song from the Thou Shalt Not artists list — but she changed it up a bit so we’ll see.
