So do the Top 24 perform tomorrow night so we get the Top 12? Oh, enough already with the first child drama and making Idol to save the family.

Was St. Pete’s ‘American Idol’ kicked off show for talking too much?
Tbd-michaellynche012610 Remember how we told you St. Pete’s Michael Lynche was in the Top 24 on American Idol, so be sure to keep an eye out for him? Well, an Idol spoiler site called Joe’s Place implies he’s been kicked off after his father, who lives in Sarasota, spilled the beans to the St. Petersburg Times.
Marque Lynche Sr. told media critic Eric Deggans that his son, who attended Gibbs high school, was indeed a contestant on the show. Joe’s Place says this was considered a violation of Lynche’s confidentiality agreement, so he was booted and replaced with someone else from the Top 50. Of course, no one can prove any of this.
Fox declined to comment on the matter, the New York Post says, although Lynche’s name appeared on several Top 24 lists that leaked all over the INtArWebz last week. We’re guessing it really came down to how much money Fox has already invested in his pop-star training already. We’ll have to wait and see whether Mike made it or not.
This has to be the most dragged-out episode EVER!

American Idol contestant Michael Lynche has been cut from the competition after it was revealed he had made it to the top 24. The 26-year-old ‘dirty blues’ singer may not have lost out entirely, however. Lynche has reportedly already signed a record deal with Hoods Famous Music.

Michael Lynche (aka Big Mike) was reportedly dropped from American Idol after his father told the St. Petersburg Times that his son had made the finals. That’s a big no-no according to American Idol rules, which state contestants and their families cannot reveal Hollywood week results until after the shows are broadcast.
Lynch was reportedly replaced in the top 24 over the weekend after news he had made it through hit the press. Fox has not commented on the story so far.
Although he may have lost out on finding fame and fortune through American Idol, all does not seem to be lost for Michael Lynch. The former football player has reportedly signed a recording contract with Hood Famous Music and already has a page up on their website featuring some of his audio clips.
Man, Michael Lynche’s dad must feel absolutely wretched! Or he should.
