Barack Obama once again proved he has a tin ear for politics when he did NOT visit Rush Limbaugh in the hospital. With his low approval ratings, Obama could have done himself a lot of good by visiting Rush who was nearby in the Hawaiian hospital. Too late now. Obama missed a great opportunity to help himself. This just demonstrates his poor ability at politics at even a personal level.
It’s not the Chicago Way. (But it would’ve been good press for Obama, unless there was a live mike at the meeting, and Limbaugh one-upped him somehow).
I see your point.....but keeping in mind the vicious attacks leveled by Obama and his operatives on Rush this past year....well, such a visit would have been horribly transparent and cynical.
Not that such idiocy has stopped ‘em so far, but.......
Rush would not allow himself to be used in that manner.
They would not have let him in anyway. Too much of a security risk—for Limbaugh.
It never occurred to me but you’re right. It would have been a great “photo op” and smooth political move. The lefties could claim the high ground and our side would look bad if we didn’t gracefully accept his good token and gesture.
Obama could have done himself a world of good by showing a "human" side. He could have instigated some of that "healing" he promised during the election.
Of course, reality is that Obama is just a Chicago thug and that promised healing was just an idea of his image consultant.
Too bad...for Obama that is!;-)

Nope. If 0 had visited Limbaugh and the hospital and then Rush kicked off from a coronary, can you imagine all the conspiracy theories our side would be screaming?
Rush probably wouldn’t have been very pleased BHO visited him... but a visit would have provided Rush with weeks and weeks of fodder for his show.

Obama has never been in an Hawaiian hospital, and he’s not going to start now.
A few days ago I was almost certain that Obama would visit Rush at the hospital. I guess I underestimated how terrible at politics Obama is.
It would only aggravate Rush...and you know damn well Obama would be doing it to aggravate and not goodwill.
Next thing you know, Barry would be a guest host . Barry, behind the EIB mike.
