I truly need to go to the grocery store but this snow has kept me pinned in. There is plenty to eat of course but I am out of some of my favorite things!

Maybe this afternoon it will be good enough for me to go out...I won’t take any chances. My driveway is still covered and its slick because the weather is so cold! It is also slick where my car is parked under the carport. I tried to go out yesterday and went out and started the car and when I came back in I realized I had no business going as my feet were sliding on the carport (in boots) so I carefully went back and cut the car off.

I had a sausage pattie left over from yesterday’s breakfast so I ate that and a bowl of corn flakes. It was quite good...I won’t complain....just be grateful!

My thermometer reads 50 degrees outside right now with blue skies....I pray for warmer temps for all our snowed in Freepers!

It’s 40 here..no wind yet. so it isn’t bad out..It’s the wind that I hate..Brrrr.
I am going to make 5 bean soup for the cold weekend coming up.

Funny, a lot of my friends say the same thing, right after they ask me what I’m cooking for the weekend. In summer this leads to more then a few ‘backyard picnics’ where they bring it and I cook it and garnish to suit me. I will admit that being willing to do the cooking makes it awful nice on our food bill, we do less shopping and better eating!

Maybe one day I can cook for this bunch for real, (and yes, the calories will be real too!)

Oops It’s 15 bean soup..The recipe is on the bean package..I need to get busy for now..I’ll share it later.
I had a ham bone with some meat on it last time I made it..I am subbing smoked sausage this time.
