What a precious little girl and how sad is the tale! Thanks, ladies!
We were 4, then 5 degrees early, but it has warmed up to a hot 18, what a joke! I cut the thermostat up and laid back down and went to sleep and haven’t hit a lick at a snake yet!!
Its too cold to be enthusiastic!!

For All The Cat~People Of Amy's Place
Eva's Fortune
My Pretty One's generosity knows no lengths or bounds
Which makes me very happy that she happened to have found
Me hiding from the cold white stuff that was falling down
To slowly gather all around with a softly whispered sound
That made me sad and frightened until I saw My Pretty One's smiling eyes
And helped me come to an important decision that was very wise
As I went limp and was tucked in My Pretty One's warm and cuddly coat
To quickly fall asleep and mysteriously seem to float
For how long, I may never know as I awoke in this wonderful place
That has everything a young feline could want along with lots of space!
Shared with two other older, wiser Cats named 'Angel' and 'Trick'
Whose coat is as deep as night time shadows yet feels so smooth and slick
While marmalade Angel appears aloof and has a very regal air
As she watches from her throne which is a plushly upholstered chair
Though the times when she is not slyly looking after me are exceedingly rare
It's obvious that I have been truly blessed to find such a loving Forever Home
And now that I have a tag that says my name is 'Eva', I know I'll never roam!

Thank you for your sweet comments, yorkie and jaycee. Thanks for posting it today, Amy. The little girl has such a sweet, but sorta sad, little face, doesn't she?
Is everyone as happy as I am that today marks the 'real' beginning of a new year and the holidays are officially over for another year!!
I have a ga-zillion errands I HAVE to run, and it's also so cold here I don't want to get out. I have to. :(

Thank you for the beautiful graphic. Makes me wanna start using my downstairs fireplace. I used to keep fires burning all the time, but with just me now, I don’t want to fool with it. Have considered getting a faux one though!
I just had to make a chocolate run after talking to Meg today. I needed milk anyway so I just ‘happened’ upon all the cookies and candy....LOL! And I was hungry and bought a bunch. I heard it will start snowing harder tonight around 6 and we could get a lot. So, I am taking no chances. The snow thats falling now is dry and blowing but I didn’t want to wait any longer.
I am getting ready to have green beans, shoe peg corn and cornbread....before I dare have my sweets! Didn’t get a Snuggie, but my throws are just as wonderful!
And Billie, the little precious girl did sorta have a sad look on her face and I was looking at her little hand sorta clutched.
Hope both of you have a wonderful day! And Billie, you better get those errands over fast!

well the entire country seems to be in a deep freeze. Here we have about a foot on ground & drifts 2-3 feet. haven’t had van out for 2 days.
walked pups in natl park behind our homes.. they love the snow & bounce & roll & just are so happy. of course they always find deep poop to roll in so the smell remains as a reminder of the fun
I am also well stocked up with food and frankly have packed on 20 extra pounds since fall & could afford to miss some/many meals
feed the birds a few times a day.. pop corn if nothing else here. I pop 4 or so of the bags.
keeping current with movies... so many good ones upcoming
hugs to all & keep warm and safe my friends

I lived in Winter Park, CO for five years, Polly. It would drop to MINUS 50 every winter, and stay that cold for weeks! I cannot even imagine! You must have just hybernated!

Good evening, Billie.
I started to post that sweet little girl several times
but decided to wait until after the holidays.
Thank you for Today's Opener.
Sad or not ... it is precious.
Boy .... Yes!! I'm ready for spring!
Marissa has one more week of Christmas vacation.
I will be sooo happy when school starts.
She is bored ... big time.
It is too cold to spend much time outside.
She can only draw so many pictures.
Tomorrow I'm taking her and Michael to see Alvin and the Chipmunks,
the Squeakle. :)
Hope you had a delightful Monday.

Good evening, Dolly. My thoughts are with all of my friends in the East.
I feel guilty complaining about the cold here.
It is 45 but the cold wet fog seems to seep to your bones.
I don't think my dogs would know what to do if it snowed.
They would probably push their way inside. :)
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Stay warm!!
