As always, your systematic approach is wonderful, and each prediction is specific, which I admire. I'd go back and have a look at my own predictions in your past threads, but I don't think that would be encouraging. Maybe later...
Economics:
- Obama's call for a second so-called stimulus will be unheeded in this midterm election year, but he'll take credit for whatever little bit of daylight is seen.
- The Euro crisis will come to a head in 2010; total collapse will be headed off by OPEC regimes, which will also start to pick off weak members of the herd to undermine European unity.
- Current high rates of unenjoyment will persist.
- I agree on the gold price (will go so far as to suggest a price under $850) and will add that it is just another commodity.
- Dow 30 will be restructured (it often is), will close above 11,000.
- Crude oil is priced in Euros (this has been going on for years already), so a drop in the price of the Euro will mean a drop in the price of crude (as the dollar rises), necessitating OPEC intervention in the EU economy; that should mean a lift in the US economy, but the Demwits have poisoned it.
Politics:
- I agree, the Pubbies retake the House of Representatives; there's no chance of Republican retaking of the Senate in 2010 (even give or take party defections), but the Obama agenda is effectively dead -- furthermore, the Pubbies will control redistricting based on the upcoming census, literally the first time since before FDR that the Demwits haven't controlled it! We must use that WELL, in order to keep from being gerrymandered out of our majority, as was done from 1933 to the present. addendum: During the summer of 2010 the failure of the massive Demwit majority to pass the Obamacare miasma will be a campaign slogan of the their candidates as well as the various partisan shilling organizations, obviously including the so-called news media.
- Obama's approval numbers will fall to very near 30, which reflects the racist core of his supporters, and is probably as low as he can go.
- Nader among others will threaten to challenge Zero for the nomination; furthermore, the dirty tricks squads are already out in force, trying to (illegally) push unelectable candidates into the Republican forefronts.
- Palin, Romney, and some Demwit-recruited stooges are or will be candidates for the 2012 race, but none of them will declare in 2010.
- Rock on Maryland!
World:
- Agree, the Tories will storm the UK battlements -- then lead the UK into a domestic and party disaster when they fail to act against the inferno of Moslem criminality that will erupt in Britain within weeks or months.
- The secret papers prediction is a bit vague, however, all see this.
- I'm goin' crazy with a UFO prediction -- it will be announced that remains of a crashed UFO have been found in the paleontological record, dating back millions of years. :') That was for Quix. ;')
- Israel will continue to wait out the Iranian people's imminent overthrow of the mullahcracy; if the nuclear program isn't scratched after the mullahs are overthrown, and/or they manage to hold on to power, Israel will act to destabilize the Iranian regime and eliminate its ability to make an attack on Israel, taking the form of an air raid; Iran is at this time continuing to prepare a preemptive strike on Israel, which will coincide with proxy warfare on the ground by Hizbollah and Hamas. And that's nearly the same prediction every year. :')
- Additionally, Iran has opened up a wide war by proxy against the Saudi regime; Iran has been supporting various Islamofascist terrorism in the Horn of Africa, and in Yemen. Somalians supported by Iran have been entering Yemen on the side of the terrorists, and Saudi Arabia's main oil production zone has a largely Shiite workforce and local population.
- Good call, Russia has been trying to undermine Ukraine's sovereignty in the Crimea; however, I think Russia will have some other problems to worry about, due to Islamic freedom fighters (heh heh); the Chinese have this problem as well, but may have a handle on it already, and they must be aware by now of Russia's covert support for them.
- Agreed, no word on Osama bin Laden -- although he will put out a video, or rather, one will be put out in his name, prior to US elections in November.
no sports or other entertainment industry predictions from me.
Climate, energy, science, astronomy, space exploration:
- The left pushed hard on the phony AGW B.S.; ClimateGate will fade, and Babs Boxer let the world know how the left felt when the Ma'amaluke said the leakers were criminals and should be brought to justice. This issue isn't dead -- yet -- but we must not let this fade, and must attack the media shills and phony educators, as well as the Stalinists masquerading as scientists. After the 2010 election wins, all that will be off the table.
- The US will pump more money into fusion research; meanwhile new oil and natural gas finds will be announced in 2010, and heavy spring rains will help fill hydroelectric reservoirs in the US SW and NW.
- Research in adult stem cells will show results in 2010, ending the phony impetus for embryonic stem cell research.
- Nibiru won't be anywhere in sight -- because it doesn't exist in the first place -- but about one hundred exoplanets will be discovered in 2010.
- New orbital telescopes coming online means more discovery in coming years; while we wait, a family of far-out objects in a band nearly perpendicular to the ecliptic will be discovered in 2010.
- The Pluto probe "New Horizons" is nearly halfway to Pluto, but won't get there until 2015; Obama's first director of NASA will resign by the end of 2010, the fight over continued US manned spaceflight having been lost.
Hey -- you didn't list the future obits this year!

Thanks.
I’m trying to give up personal predictions . . . for Lent or . . . Ground Hog day . . . or . . . President’s Day or . . . Cheerios or something.
Thanks for interesting threads, however.
I do think 2010 will be much more dramatic than 2009. Specifically how . . . God knows.
Some say UFO/ET wholesale disclosure.
Some say Israel attacking Iran.
Some say massive weather and other natural disasters.
Some say WWIII.
I pray none of those so soon.
Given my poor sense about timing . . . I really have no clue.
