Thank much Amy. I did...until the Christmas day terrorist-on-plane incident. That dominated thoughts and conversations around our house the rest of the day. I just came home from work about 1/2 hour ago and was reading the posts on the newest Detroit airport incident. Sheesh. Not a great way to close out the week, but we might as well get used to it. Jihad will pre-occupy our lives our children’s lives and our grandchildren’s lives.

The rainbow behind that church is so beautiful, JC!

Thank you for the lovely bouquet of amaryllis, Meg! Mine bloomed only once, and it was breathtaking. (And I have kept it watered on my porch for over six years - it never bloomed again!)

Kitty, what a beautiful rose! And the Scripture verse is one that I really needed to read today! Thank you!

Thanks for your kind reply.
I don’t mind dentists. Have almost fallen asleep during root canals.
I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of tolerating foreign things in my mouth all my waking hours.
The process of so much oral surgery at one time is a bit daunting but the dentist is top notch so I don’t expect a horrible time.
Thanks for your kind words and concern.
Have a blessed New Year.

Break, Break, Break
Break, break, break, On thy cold gray stones, O Sea! And I would that my tongue could utter The thoughts that arise in me.
O well for the fishermans boy, That he shouts with his sister at play! O well for the sailor lad, That he sings in his boat on the bay!
And the stately ships go on To their haven under the hill; But O for the touch of a vanishd hand, And the sound of a voice that is still!
Break, break, break At the foot of thy crags, O Sea! But the tender grace of a day that is dead Will never come back to me.
Alfred Lord Tennyson

;o) You’re welcome.
My raccoons have disappeared. They left before I went to my daughter’s. I guess they’ll return in the spring.
