Yeah, because We The Kooks don't have the right to be angry that Raila Odinga's favorite cousin has spent 1.7 million taxpayer dollars defending his fraudulent claim to the Oval Office.

We The Kooks don't have the right to be angry that Rush tells a bald-faced LIE on the air regarding his knowledge of Berg and Sinclair.

You can stick to the technical BS all you want, but it is the Conservative who is angry about the 1.7 million dollar gorilla in the room that you and Rush refuse to acknowledge.

Maybe you could purchase a surplus SAM-7 from your local Bosnian immigrant and shoot his Lear Jet down.

N1EB is a Gulfstream IV.

It's leased from a subsidiary of GE Credit.

I LIKE RUSH, AND I’M NOT JUST SAYING THAT GRATUITOUSLY:

But the reality is... Rush is no longer the “maverick’ he once was.

He is a big success and perhaps his cushy life takes precedence — from time to time — over principle.

This is human nature and the last time I looked Rush was as human and liable to err as much as the rest of us.

Having said that: we have every right to to express are disappointment and displeasure from time to time.

We expect Rush to be a bellwether of the time.

I don’t know what is more disconcerting:

(1)That he had never heard of Burg or Sinclair?

(2)That he felt it necessary to lie in order to avoid the subject?

If one believes number 1 then the logical conclusion is that Rush is not doing his homework.

If number 2 then more questions arise as to why he would lie to millions of his listeners?

Was he caught of guard and in a moment of weakness draped the ball — so to speak?

Or is it something more nefarious at work?

HAS HE BEEN THREATENED BY OBAMA THUGS TO NOT BROACH “CERTAIN” SUBJECTS?

Frankly, I hope it is something more benign than the above.

However, if Rush has been cowed into silance... now THAT is both scary and unacceptable!

Rush doesn’t talk about the birth certificate controversy for the same reason practically every big name conservative talk show host doesn’t talk about it: they think the controversy is ridiculous and most of the birthers are touched. They won’t say that, but that’s what they probably believe. They know that a large part of their listening audience is composed of birthers, but they don’t want to alienate them. So they don’t talk about it.

I was listening to his show that day.
I don't think Rush fumbled anything.
I think he threw that thing away with both hands...

He needs to step it up a few notches.

And you know more about Rush's business than Rush because...?

If you know so much, start your own show. You obviously are better than Rush, and should have 50 million listeners in no time.

Kooks in general are angry when people WITH credibility refuse to sacrifice it on their behalf.

I wish I'd said that.

STFU, you pathetic dumbass. I seriously think you need some psychiatric help.

You continue to pick a fight where there isn't one to pick. I am only going to say this one more time: I am not telling Rush what he should talk about. I never said that I wanted him to talk about Berg and Sinclair -- or about anything else for that matter. If he wants to avoid those subjects that is perfectly fine with me. Personally I think Berg is a bit of a nut, and Sinclair's story would need to be corroborated by other sources in order to have merit and be discussion-worthy.

This is not about my telling Rush what he should talk about. All I had was a very small criticism of Rush's handling of the caller with a lie. He could have handled it without feigning ignorance. Lying and claiming that he'd never heard of these people was a bit of a disappointing way for him to handle it. To make matters worse, Rush lied while pompously criticizing the caller for lying.

I like Rush, and this just did not live up to his usual high standards.

You contradicted yourself by first saying that "Liars never prosper" in reference to the caller -- and then nearly in the very same breath attacked anyone who pointed out Rush's lie. Double standard much?

The number of listeners Rush has on his radio show is absolutely irrelevant to any of this and your persistence with it just makes you look extremely childish.

I am afraid that you are the unbelievably arrogant, hostile weenie here. I've had enough of your anal-retentive, lunk-headed, juvenile nonsense. You are just further embarrassing yourself.

I don't think that. And enough with your total idiocy. You need help.

There’s an underlying process at work here—the anti-conservative/pro-communist agenda. Leftist activists think they can advance their ideology by trying to drive a wedge between various groups within conservatives. One long-standing component of this strategy is to try to make Rush look bad to conservatives.

The problem is the leftist ideology has no intrinsic worth. That’s why they cannot advance it on its own merits—they must use underhanded, indirect and deceptive means.

As for Rush, his first priority is the integrity of his program. When a caller lies to get on the air, Rush is not going to allow him to force a topic that isn’t on the program’s agenda.

And if the Soros-Obama axis has Rush in a compromised position we should go after Soros, not Rush. Think about it—what sense does it make to target your own after they’ve been wounded?

I agree.

Rush lied.

I am disappointed that he did this. He could have, and should have, handled it differently.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Rush lied in his weak effort to control the situation.

I am sorry that he did that. He could have, and should have, handled the matter in a better and honest manner.

It is never good business to lie to your consumers. Rush did that.

I am sorry that he allowed his discomfort with the situation to cloud his judgment and compromise his honesty.

While I agree that he did throw out the hot topic of Berg and Sinclair out with both hands, I disagree that he did not fumble.

I don’t believe that Rush is fundamentally a liar. It is not part of his intrinsic character.. but... he did lie in this case.

I can't think of a more perfect prescription for alienating them.
