Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Gobble, gobble!
AArgh?
Oh yeah, and it’s a lovely area, too!
Indeed we do... you-all should come down here, there’s some really great beach deals thanks to the Lame Stream Media declaring us an oil-soaked disaster area (no oil was here, ever, I promise)
And Frodo...
I still get 2J's reminder from the Yahoo Hobbit Hole.
They’d come in if’n I opened the door :~)
Howdy PE.
Chip the glasses and crack the plates...
I have an old compote I want rid of. For security reasons, I must either pull the HD and sell it as “almost” a computer, or (preferably) wipe the HD and then reload it from the “restore” partition.
To do that, I need to know how to do a serious, no-fragments-left format of the HD without touching the “restore” partition.
Would one of y'all tell me a good way to do that, or recommend a software thingie for it?
Yikes! I gots me a precious, all unbeknownst!
Well, compote IS a word, it's just not the one you wanted to use. ;o)
We finally got one in Olympia a bit ago. I sometimes do my week’s shopping there...even with the fun stuff, it’s often cheaper than the regular grocery. Artichokes for under a dollar this week, for example, and good prices on other produce, and interesting pasta, and whole wheat tortillas...and on a lot of things, their prices on dairy are better than Wal-mart, even.
Current favorite chocolatey things: Power Berries. Dark chocolate covered...something or others. Acai and something else, I think. Tart, but wonderful with the chocolate.
And the one here sells all SORTS of cholesterol medicine...so to speak.
I think I’ve told the story of (pre 9/11) forgetting that I had a package of guitar strings (coiled up wires, essentially) and an old metal alarm clock in the pocket of my coat one time coming back from Europe. Got their attention, though they didn’t do anything other than examine them closely. Yes, I’m an idiot. Not sure *what* would happen in this day and age.
Our local TJs doesn’t sell cholesterol medicine, but Austin’s, across the road sells a wide variety. ;o)
I know your face...
I was in the local renovated Dollar General and their prices on milk are cheaper than the grocery store! Now, they're not cheap enough to make a special trip, but when I'm at the library, it's easy to slip over there and get a gallon of milk.

I don’t think there’s any good way of doing a real wipe without destroying the restore partition. That’s the point of the restore partition. I’d wipe the hard drive and sell it as-is, no operating system. Or if the security issues are real, pull the hard drive and sell it brainless.
