>Kimchi brings both health and beauty That ain't all it brings. When my ship (in US Navy) left Chinhae or Pusan, the stench aboard ship was unbearable for at least three days. When you went to use the head, you had to hold a towel over your mouth and nose, so you could breathe....

Kimchi brings health and beauty, enthusiasts say - and did they also mention the pants-splitting godawful farts? What about the kimchi farts?

Real kimchi does make you smell. You will have the stuff coming out of your pores for at least 8 hours.

Kimchi is GREAT! LOVE IT! Sure, it can be odiferous, and the results can be stinky, but if you REALLY want SERIOUS TOXIC (but insanely tasty!), try this:
STINKY TOFU
"...the odor of stinky tofu is said to resemble that of rotten garbage or manure, even by its enthusiasts..." -- and I will vouch for that. First time I smelled it I thought I'd stumbled into the back of a Philadelphia garbage truck in August... but it tastes great if you can get it past your nose.
Anyway, compared to that, Kimchi is MILD....

I don’t recall ever eating creamed spinach...

Kimchi keeps people so far away that you don’t catch any germs.

oops, hit "POST" too soon...
Anyway, I was gonna add that, to my knowledge, nobody claims the same health benefits for Stinky Tofu, as for Kimchi. I'm willing to believe the stories about Kimchi. If they claim similar benefits for Stinky Tofu, it would have to be filed under "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger". ;-)

You know, folks, there is such a thing as Beano. It works for kimchi, not just beans. You can eat anything with social impunity. (Does not solve garlic breath, though.)
