This one was label an Alpaca.
I think that Alpacas have better personalities. I’ll have to check to see what the differences are.

One correction to my earlier post. I spoke with Auntie tonight and her nurse told her the wrong thing last week. She has a high thyroid not a low one. In any case, it looks like they are close to a resolution of the problem. I was glad to hear some of her old spunk back in her voice tonight. It is from the relief of finally knowing what is wrong. I hope the surgery is very soon so the thyroid can stop producing too much thyroxine or whatever it is called. She will feel good as new after those nodules get out of the way!
And every day I get closer to the day I can drive to see her. It’s only a week from this Friday now...and I’ll point the truck west and drive to the mountains. I love when you start to see the mountains in the distance, after we’ve left Limon and are on the last leg of the trip. I hate when I leave the mountains and see them slowly fade in the distance. It’s a special place out there, at the foot of Pike’s Peak. A wonderous natural place where you can see God’s magnificent creation of the Rocky Mountains.
Good night all!

Contentment
No one can serve two masters. Matthew 6:24
A gripping photograph of an old woman sitting in a pile of garbage made me ponder. She was smiling as she ate a packet of food she had foraged from the garbage dump. It took so little for the woman to be satisfied.
There is much talk about a struggling economy and the cost of living going higher. And many are getting increasingly anxious about their livelihood. Is it possible to heed our Lord Jesus teaching in Matthew 6:25, Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on?
Our Lord was not saying that we dont need to work, that we dont need to eat, or that we shouldnt bother about how we dress. He was warning against those things becoming so important that we become slaves of money instead of trusting Him. No one can serve two masters, He said (v.24).
Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (v.33) is recognizing that no matter how much effort we expend to make a better life for ourselves and our families, ultimately it is the Lord who takes care of our needs. And since God is our heavenly Father, we will have enough.
Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand,
Never foe can follow, never traitor stand;
Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there. Havergal

I got so wrapped up in that sad song, I forgot to say that I like your Forget-me-nots. We had Forget-me-not remembrance seed cards at my mom’s celebration of life last summer. Pretty little flowers but I don’t think anyone was able to grow them - probably too hot and dry out here.

How cute! That is how my little Sissy sleeps at night, on her back with the covers tucked up under her front feet.

It is a sad song - poor guy is devastated, isn’t he? I’d had that song saved for quite a while before I saw the closeup of that guy looking so sad. I just really like the sound of Chris Isaaks’ voice though. :) I think “Wicked Game” is probably a lot better known than this one, but there’s also a distinct ‘sound’ to his background music - steel guitar maybe?

Good morning, Billie.
Thank you for another wonderful Opener.
This is a sad, but very pretty song.
Hope you are having a wonderful week.
I have a dentist appt at 12:00 today.
It is just for a cleaning but I couldn't postpone it again. :)
I appreciate all of the great Openers that you continue to share.
Have a Terrific Thursday!

Thanks, Lori - felt like I needed to add some color to the graphic. :)
Oh, the forget-me-not seed cards at your mom's celebration of life were such a nice touch. I wonder what sort of climate the flowers do well in.
