Good evening.

Go Cheney! The former Vice-President strikes back at the Obama Justice Dept.'s attack on CIA investigation techniques. Cheney, unlike the Holder's Justice, values our safety & a strong national defense.

Thousands of California homes and families are in the path of devastating fires. And so we pray for their safety and that of the firefighters.

I call thoae country hams and soal them 24 hours then scrub and wash off the exterior. A true or genuine Smithfield ham I soak 48 hours because of the longer cure. I haven’t eaten any in years. I do like that wine, used to buy it alot when I lived in NJ, but ever since we went to Orievto, Italy I drink that one now. Never been a fan of Brie. BUT I have been to Joe T. Garcia’s for dinner in Fort Worth once, neat place back then. A landmark.

Joe T's made a bunch of breakfast burritos for some returning airmen from the sand box a few years ago. I was tasked to oversee serving them and coffee (not many non-deployed airman were hurt or injured for that task). Joe T. gets high marks in my book.

Go 301st!

I soak hams too. I try to use spring water in the cold house for that, assuming the spring is running.

I love Brie. Too bad it’s fattening, because I could eat a small wheel in one sitting.

I nuke it in the microwave just long enough to get it soft. Great on crusty Italian bread with a glass (or two) of wine, and some grapes or pears.

Regarding your cats: I feed my neighbor the lady federal marshal whenever she is out of town or has to work long hours on a case. One cat is sociable and always greets me at the door. The other one is invisible. I never see him. Apparently he only likes his owner, and spends most of his time hiding under the bed and only comes out to eat when I have left.

When I first started feeding them, I spent one day going over every inch of the house trying to find him. I was afraid that somehow he had gotten out. Nope, he was discovered holed up under the bed way back in a corner almost invisible. He just doesn’t like too many people.

Sigh. I don’t feed the lady federal marshal. I feed her CATS.

It’s late, and I believe that martini is having its effect. LOL!

Lady marshalls sometimes get hungry too! LOL! Do you ever put nuts and brown sugar on top of the brie and melt it until the sugar gets hot in the microwave? I will try a tiny bit like that.

Good morning. I have finally found a channel which lets me watch Fox News and Auburn Football. War Eagle. The game starts in about 12 hours.

Will you be able to take it easy today?

Yes, but the meds haven’t quite worn off yet, so I’m still impaired. I’ve slouched around (again!) today.

I’m ready. We’re going to hook up the projector and watch a “large screen”. LOL!

At least that is the plan. But things here have a way of not going quite the way they are planned.

I wish I were in Auburn. The electricity, even during a losing season, is palpable. The air sizzles.

Good morning! I haven’t been to sleep yet, a little bit of insomnia. Then my computer shut down, back up now. I will go back to bed in a bit. I am afraid to even cut on the news lately. Dear Leader is 24/7

No, you didn’t. I was the only one not sleeping and I’m not that good a conversationalist today.
