Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
Glad to hear things are going well. PB.
I view that phrase very liberally. It is one of the very few times I am liberal! 8)
Very nice photo, leilani.
G’nite.
Good night, FOXY! :)
{{{Hugs back}}}
LOL, well I fell for it, didn’t I?
We all should have gotten massive doses of antivirals for hanging out in lib land for so long.
Many of us came home sick!
:) Happy Sunday morning, everyone!
I have learned how to feel better - woo hoo!
Last update, I’d thought that I’d had a problem with carbs, but with some careful observation, I’ve found that it is a new (possibly temporary) sensitivity to milk products and that once I avoid milk, butter, cheese, etc, the symptoms start going away! :) Yay!
I made the final connection last night when I finally read the labels for bread (whole grain) and crackers. They have milk in them and then I could tie the aggravated symptoms and timing all together.
It’s not great not being able to have milk, cheese or butter, but if I feel so much better, I am happy to make the changes. My energy and level of alertness (LOL okay, maybe that is not a word) have improved, bad head and tummy are gone and other symptoms improved as well!
Treadmill time has been consistent and good; at least 40 minutes per day at a slow pace. I don’t overdo and I feel great afterwards.
Thank you so much for your prayers, friendship and support! I really believe that your kindness has helped me for so much!
I wish you all a very happy Sunday!
Cheers,
save
Hmmm, interesting. Glad you are feeling better, I’ve been out of the loop on FR lately. Do you have a surgery date?
We’re in the middle of remodeling in-laws bathroom to make it more safe to use. That’s turned into remodeling the whole room, LOL!
So, I haven’t been around much lately....
Thanks, prairiebreeze!
Yes, I do have a surgery date but it’s much later than I would like. I am on a waiting list to see if it’s possible for the surgery to happen sooner ( and this idea lets me pretend that it won’t be as late as what it’s currently scheduled for).
LOL
It works for me.
Worst case, it would be no later than Thanksgiving (it’s not that late, but still!)
How strangely different we all are. I begin to feel sick when I don’t have milk.
Glad you figured this out, save.
Thank you, Bahbah!
:) I will miss it, but I feel so much better now. Maybe all of us have some kind of unique nutritional needs? It does make sense if you need milk to avoid feeling sick.
Plus someone should appreciate butter ( I do too, but I don’t know that I can have it) . LOL Mom will form a fan club.
AHEM* you're doing more exercise than I do!! LOL Maybe I should take apage from your book and get my "walk" on!
keep feeling better!
Stay safe, stay alert, stay ON the treadmill, avoid milk products and you’ll be good as new before you know it.
I’ll say a special prayer for you in church.
:)
Great to hear good news, sl! Keeping you in my prayers.
My knee replacement surgery went well, albeit with some swelling that my doctor doesn’t like. We’re working on it... with all this I’m still in no pain so that’s good. Also trying to set up an out-patient therapy program this week which should go on for at least 4 weeks. I spent a week at a rehab center and was released on Friday. Lots more work to do.
:) Thank you, CAluvyadubya!
I don’t know if it is all milk products, lactose or caseine, but at this point I am eliminating everything. Once my symptoms get even better, I will try to reintroduce butter to see if that is okay to have, although I suspect not as I’ve reacted to milk and whey.
I don’t do a strenuous walk, but I maintain a slow but steady pace. Afterwards, I feel pretty good! I am sure that you can outwalk me with your eyes closed. LOL In fact, I know that’s true because right now, I would flop over if I couldn’t see. :)
:) Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers, Chuck54!
Now that I know what to avoid, I feel like a new person and the run-down feeling is gone. I am sorry for my folks because that is yet another odd allergy that I have, but they are relieved that my symptoms are improving.
(((Hugs))) What a trooper you are, Fudd Fan! :) I have missed you and am glad that you are doing well in terms of no pain.
I am keeping you in my prayers that your recovery will go so well, your doctor will be amazed! I will add a prayer that the swelling will go down quickly now.
Congratulations on your first week of PT! You are right that there is a lot to do, but before you know it, you’ll be able to tell yourself that the hard part is over. Which is what I want for you. (((Hugs)))
