:) Happy Sunday morning, everyone!
I have learned how to feel better - woo hoo!
Last update, I’d thought that I’d had a problem with carbs, but with some careful observation, I’ve found that it is a new (possibly temporary) sensitivity to milk products and that once I avoid milk, butter, cheese, etc, the symptoms start going away! :) Yay!
I made the final connection last night when I finally read the labels for bread (whole grain) and crackers. They have milk in them and then I could tie the aggravated symptoms and timing all together.
It’s not great not being able to have milk, cheese or butter, but if I feel so much better, I am happy to make the changes. My energy and level of alertness (LOL okay, maybe that is not a word) have improved, bad head and tummy are gone and other symptoms improved as well!
Treadmill time has been consistent and good; at least 40 minutes per day at a slow pace. I don’t overdo and I feel great afterwards.
Thank you so much for your prayers, friendship and support! I really believe that your kindness has helped me for so much!
I wish you all a very happy Sunday!
Cheers,
save
Hmmm, interesting. Glad you are feeling better, I’ve been out of the loop on FR lately. Do you have a surgery date?
We’re in the middle of remodeling in-laws bathroom to make it more safe to use. That’s turned into remodeling the whole room, LOL!
So, I haven’t been around much lately....
How strangely different we all are. I begin to feel sick when I don’t have milk.
Glad you figured this out, save.
Stay safe, stay alert, stay ON the treadmill, avoid milk products and you’ll be good as new before you know it.
I’ll say a special prayer for you in church.
:)
Great to hear good news, sl! Keeping you in my prayers.
My knee replacement surgery went well, albeit with some swelling that my doctor doesn’t like. We’re working on it... with all this I’m still in no pain so that’s good. Also trying to set up an out-patient therapy program this week which should go on for at least 4 weeks. I spent a week at a rehab center and was released on Friday. Lots more work to do.
Of course, as a former resident of the dairy state of Wisconsin and as a lover of all things dairy myself. I am sad to think you will miss out on some of natures finest foods. It is also difficult to think of all those cows that will be idled by your abandonment of their moo juice!
Read, as well, that you are putting in 40 minutes on the treadmill. That should have you in good shape for your surgery. [That's almost as much time as I spend napping!]
Thank you for keeping us informed! Prayers continue...
SL, I’m so glad that you’ve discovered the allergy, and are feeling better!
Hopefully, it will be only temporary. My mother had the same problem a number of years ago - seemingly out of the blue - and, it went away after she stayed away from milk products for a while. She surely missed her milk and ice cream for a while! But, thankfully, she has no problem with it now. Hoping the same for you!
