Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
I'm sure that every Snowflake thinks of you daily and keeps you in their prayers.
(((Hugs))) Thank you, MaggieCarta!
I’d wondered if I’d been overloading the Snowflakes with these.
I always feel better after a high protein meal (MS). Who knows why.
:) If it works, I am not going to question it.
How are you doing, HC?
I’m status quo, which is always a plus, (bad joke)
Perhaps its not what we are eating per se, but what we are NOT eating. Carbs.
I never feel better eating carbs.
That’s beautiful.
what’s everyone else going to have?
:(
I can understand that. I would like to feel better eating pancakes, but I don’t think it will happen.
Yesterday, I tried combining cereal (cheerios), milk and pb and that did better than w/o the spoonful of pb (theory is that oats plus nuts =complete protein).
But I feel absolutely great after eating a chicken sandwich.
LOL
Mom finished it off.
My goal for the next bake-a-thon is to make croissants from scratch. I have never done it, but I have been pondering so many short cut methods that I thought that I should at least make it the right way first and then see if my wild ideas of short cuts could work later.
Ummm?
saveliberty is coasting while she builds strength and awaits her surgery date so they may wax and wane.
A day that includes a visit to the hardware store is an ok day in my book S/L, especially if the project can be put off for another day.
BTW, I lunch with a senior every day...as does she. 8)
Whiskey works for me, PB. Although too much does make me dizzy. [Too much being more than an ounce! Maybe 1/2 an ounce?]
Yes, ma'am, we do.
Hi HC. I have been a big fan of protein for a long time. Unfortunately, Mrs. Foxy favors pasta, and she runs the kitchen, but I grab protein whenever I can. It makes me feel better and keeps my weight down. There’s lots of solid evidence that protein [not excessive] is good for your body.
Nite.
It’s a joy to see you, too, dear FOXFANVOX!
Indeed, sir.
Just avoid white food, flour, sugar etc and you are 3/4 of the way there.
I can eat a huge prime rib and enjoy every guiltess bite because I don’t eat the bread, never a starch with it, always the green beans on snow peas or whatever and I don’t feel the slightest bit stuffed.
Although I must say, at the DC tea party, I was REALLLY bad food wise.
Green Tea is maaaaaaavelous as well. Really helps with cravings, too.
GC!
I became a AUH20 freak at a U of P event in Philadelphia when I was a little tiny girl.
I live just outside Phila in western burbs.
Have a great day, FOXFANVOX !
I don't think so. IMHO, if they feel overloaded, they just don't have to look... (((Hugs))) Back to you, saveliberty!
