Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
LOL
It was still warm when we had some, so we did our share of drooling too.
Sumatra, eh? He was a terrific singer so I am sure his coffee is good, too.

Looks delicious. How about a photo of the photographer?
I am off to watch Masterpiece theater. Will no doubt fall asleep in the middle and have to watch the end on video tomorrow.
One final suggestion. I am a BIG believer in the health benefits of sun and fresh air. So try and get as much of each as you can handle before your operation. I would bet you a piece of coffee cake it will help speed your recovery.
G’nite saveliberty.
I’d love a piece of cake.
LOL
LOL
Maybe not.
I hope that you enjoyed Masterpiece Theater and a nap. :)
Fed Ex would deliver coffee cake, except that it’s half gone. And by now, I think Mom would fight you for it. LOL
The secret plan is that I will surprise Dad with pumpkin muffins later this morning. I want to have them in the oven before he comes down to make the coffee.
Getting out and about is helpful and it’s in the schedule that we’ve put together for the week. Sun isn’t as helpful as just getting out of the house and moving around.
Sunday’s excursions went well as I learned the restorative powers of a greek omelet when we went to brunch after church. :)
Good night, FOXY!
We would love for you to come by and have some. It’s fun to bake, but it’s better to share with friends.
How do I get there?
:) If you are coming from Texas, you will need to come up to Massachusetts.
Wow, that’s pretty far!
We are near Nashua, NH.
I did enjoy Masterpiece Theater and fell asleep in the middle instead of the end, which is harder to track down on the video.
It appears I lost out on the coffee cake. Was there any pumpkin muffins left?
When I first read you had a Greek omelet on Sunday, I thought you wrote “geek” omelet. I know you are smart so I just thought there might be a nutritional basis!
G’nite.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What’s going on? Everything OK? No updates for a couple of days.
Hi deffie. The good news is that I have a surgery date scheduled and no follow up surgery is planned. Yay!
The bad news is that it’s a long wait, but I am on a waiting list if there are cancellations.
The other good news is that symptoms get better when I eat proteins. I was having trouble in church on Sunday. The doctor is reducing the medication gradually and during Mass, the tingling was very bad. I’d had cereal over 2 hours beforehand btw.
Well after church, we went out to brunch and on a whim, I ordered a greek omelet (spinach, onions, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese). I hesitated because it was so big, but a) I ate the whole thing and b) I felt great afterwards.
Another friend whose mother had had a tumor said that something similar happened with her mom about needing different nutrients to feel better, so maybe it’s not so crazy after all (LOL although the nurse is scratching her head about it).
Meanwhile, my goal is to continue to recover as much as possible and hope and pray for an earlier surgery date (wherein none of the participants feel rushed). I managed a full hour’s gentle walk with Dad yesterday and will try to work some exercise each day.
Today’s outing will be lunch with friends from the Senior Center and then a quick trip to the hardware store with Dad for a few, very small, low stress but necessary projects (not to be done today).
Perhaps the proteins keep your blood sugar evened out better than cereals do and the glucose has an impact on your nerves and nerve endings?
Regardless, I’m glad the protein helped and as they say “Whatever Works!”
:) I agree, prairiebreeze. How is your fil after surgery?
Thank you so much for keeping us informed. Prayers continue...
Thank you, Alamo-Girl!
