Cue the music from 2001: A Space Odyssey…they discovered a monolith on the surface of Mars! Here are the details:

Agreed. The top picture shows a penumbra, which seems unlikely.
Well: no need for over analysis in advance of the facts. Someone will post up genuine pictures of stuff on Mars in a bit and we’ll see the differences.

Addendum: I had a look at http://www.lunexit.it/ to see what I could find, but:
a) it’s all in Italian
b) they have some obvious frauds in there. They probably explain why but not being an Italian reader I couldn’t make head nor tail of it.
And there’s my due diligence for this thread :0)
