Did you hear about the guy that lives on nothing? No seriously, he lives on zero dollars a day. Meet Daniel Suelo, who lives in a cave outside Moab, Utah. Suelo has no mortgage, no car payment, no debt of any kind. He also has no home, no car, no television, and absolutely no “creature comforts.” But he does have a lot of creatures, as in the mice and bugs that scurry about the cave floor he’s called home for the last three years.
To us, Suelo probably sounds a little extreme. Actually, he probably sounds very extreme. After all, I suspect most of you reading this are doing so under the protection of some sort of man-made shelter, and with some amount of money on your person, and probably a few needs for money, too. And who doesn’t need money unless they have completely unplugged from the grid? Still, it’s an amusing story about a guy who rejects all forms of consumerism as we know it.

Had to look back on this one and see what we were talking about. We had baked potatoes in the oven last night due to rain - no fire to be had. I had a sweet potato. My God, they are so good!

Bean Bars
Metric Ingredient Imperial
250 ml whole wheat pastry flour 1 cup
75 ml nonfat dry milk powder 1/3 cup
125 ml firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup
5 ml baking soda 1 tsp
5 ml ground cinnamon 1 tsp
2 ml ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp
2 ml ground cloves 1/2 tsp
2 ml salt 1/2 tsp
500 ml cooked green beans 2 cup
1 egg 1
125 ml canola oil 1/2 cup
125 ml unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup
175 ml walnuts, chopped 3/4 cup
125 ml currants 1/2 cup
30 ml icing sugar 2 tbsp
In large bowl, place flour, milk powder, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt.
In blender, place green beans, egg, oil and applesauce. Process until smooth. Add to flour mixture, stirring until well blended. Stir in walnuts and currants. Pour into greased 11 x 7 inch (2 L) baking pan. Bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until pick inserted into centre comes out clean. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar while warm.

Hot Milk Sponge Cake

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
Grease a 9 x 9-inch baking pan; set aside.
In a mixing bowl beat eggs with an electric mixer on high speed about 4 minutes or till thick. Gradually add sugar, beating on medium speed for 4 to 5 minutes or till light and fluffy. Add the dry mixture; beat on low to medium speed just till combined.
In a small saucepan heat and stir milk and butter till butter melts; add to batter, beating till combined. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or till a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on a wire rack. Serves 9.

Post_Express_Label.exe Sample message:

our package has been returned to the Post Express office. The reason of the
return is “Error in the delivery address” Important message!
Attached to the letter mailing label contains the details of the package
delivery.
You have to print mailing label, and come in the Post Express office in
order to receive the packages!
