Living in New York most people tout Gehrig: none of them are old enough to have seen him play. All I know is before Hernandez firs-basemen stood there and waited for the throw. Keith was first to actively play the position.
Greinke coming on now. He’s been mortal for the last month, but the first couple months of the season this guy was unbelievable. He throws a fastball in the mid to upper 90s and a change-up in the low 60s.
Indeed, KH was a great defensive first baseman, in addition to being a good hitter. You may recall, his pushing the rules stance (of standing in foul territory) when he held runners on.
