Sarah is now unelectable on a national stage. The quitter specter will hang around her neck like swimmer does to Ted Kennedy.
Youll be able to spot the realistic, clear thinking conservatives because they see and admit this early so we can put it behind us get on with identifying the candidates who can win in 12.
BTW - This doesnt rule out a tangential private career ala Newt or a run for a House or Senate seat (although I dont know where at this point) but as a national candidate she is toast.
That so many conservatives cant see this is one of the reasons we lose so often...in campaigns and ideology.
Its quite sad but something Ive learned to live with. At one point I thought the conservative cause in this country could be galvanized around solid principles, sober and realistic goals and turned into an effective winning strategy and movement. But Ive come to realize too many voluntarily ignore the ugly realities of politics and put their faith in Hail Mary passes, and frankly, are just too lazy for the time and effort needed to bring this country back to where they profess they want it to be.
Yes. The only group with a lower poll rating than congress is the MSM. Attack both of them. Point out their fallacies.
What I can't think of is a person who has the toughness/meanness/cunningness of Axeltuurff/ and snake-head (Mary M's husband)
Possibly Mark Levin but I'm not sure. He definitely has the right message and an uncompromising way of making it known. His book Liberty and Tyranny has also been at the top of the NYT bestseller list for weeks.
Rumors are that Levin and Rush have had secret meetings and that Palin might have been the topic. That was before Sarah's "sudden" announcement.
Care to speculate on rumors? Rush has a brand new $400,000,000 contract. Levin has a mega-successful best seller. They both have radio shows and connections to all of conservative America including the real movers and shakers (and I don't mean RINOs.)
Pretty good rumor, eh? ;0)
Found two articles that quoted Krauthammer supporting Romney.
Bingo. It all makes sense now. Good catch.
Just bought dad Levin’s book...He always get first read.
He got Beck’s Common Sense last week, should finish it soon.
That is an interesting rumor: Levin, Rush, HMMMM
Add: Beck, Matlin, Coulter, Krystal all supporting her now.
Then add Hannity, Krauthammer (he’ll come around...the comments on Romney were weak)
Then add the local conservative talk radio groups: all tickled to have her on to interview. (guy in Indy took Pence’s place) Limit topics to the four areas mentioned.
All producing local print news.
As a private citizen, how much money, gifts, transportation can she receive? Are there limits? Could they just pay for his transportation, provide a private airplane? pay for the people, that must be there to make the inner circle work? People that CAN be trusted. Tough people with brains.
Once she starts hanging out with the mega-successful multi-millionaires she'll learn all the money tricks she'll need. She sure won't learn them from me!
Or me either....I live in a barn I’ve converted to a home....OTOH God gave me a stable for a new life.
Anne is on FOX talking about Palin....next.
Good for you! Good luck. :0)
Politics is not always a one-act play.
I’ll wait and see what comes, personally.
But I will NOT vote for Romney, or anyone similarly liberal.
What? I am talking ABOUT liberals TO conservatives. If you can’t understand that, then there’s really nothing more to say to you.
Go Sarah!
Romney is now unelectable. He lost the nomination to McCain.
We need a conservative.
We need new blood and I hope Sarah jumps in.
Looked at the keywords some charming people added to your topic
bs; clueless; gobacktodu; idiot; mittwitt; (false assumption I hope) pds; (palin derangement syndrome) romneybot; upyours; waronsarah;
How dramatic of them. I guess it’s just not allowed to think this doesn’t help her chances if she runs.
Word from Rush:
*** EXCLUSIVE TO THE RADIO EQUALIZER ***
How does Rush Limbaugh see Sarah Palins resignation announcement?
Though an assortment of pundits both left and right have been quick to offer their views on Palins move to step down as governor of Alaska, the talk titan has been one of the most significant figures to remain absent from the debate.
With her press conference taking place after the end of his Friday program and El Rushbos summer golfing holiday beginning immediately thereafter, there has been no opportunity to comment on a development that has shaken the political world.
Through persistence and a bit of luck, however, your Radio Equalizer was able to track down Limbaugh, who offered a three minute taped answer to our key question: does Sarah Palin have a political future?
In the response, Limbaugh denounced Beltway and state-run media speculation over Palins next move, as well as dismissals of her future viability, comparing it to unfounded rumors regarding Michael Jacksons actual cause of death.
He was careful to note that both establishment Democrats and Republicans were writing her political obituary, but that it was more than premature.
