That was the man I came to know
a man with a million stories
some with points
others whose points were merely
in the telling
and how he was transformed
into the pleasant
memory
of telling them
Nevin could fix anything
worked on turbo prop planes
and B52s in the time
they first rolled off the
assembly lines
He recalled how they flew so high
that the difference in air pressure
kept the bombs from dropping
they just rattled around in the bays
scaring the living daylights
out of the crews
Nevin could fix anything
even the import amplifiers
of his long-haired son
His son was a music freak
keeping a Squier Strat wrapped in an afghan
in the back of his 71 Plymouth Fury
Grims house of music
became Grimms TV under Nevin's
watchful eye
Nevin sold and fixed them
after a long career working on planes
Large in body
Huge in heart
This was Nevin
Today I learned...
Today I learned
Nevin went home
While we weep
I can hear the applause
of angels
Rest in the loving arms of the Lord

Kitty Mittens!! Waving hello from Los Angeles! This kitty is so cute. Hope you are doing well. You are such a inspiration to all!
Polly...who should be in bed but up having tea!
You do such great good nights,(((Kitty)))..I failed to thank you for this pretty flag.
I am into night owl mode tonight as you can see..LOL
I knew my normal hours wouldn’t last.
Waving at you, polly..and I REALLY should be asleep here in Texas.
Recently, our family had to change Internet cable services. Our former provider promised to send us a postage-paid box to mail their equipment back to them. We waited. No box came. I phoned. The promised box still did not arrive, but we did get a bill for the equipment!
Wanting to get this resolved, I decided to return it at my own expense. I sent several faxes asking if they received itbut no reply. Then I got a refund check of $.02 for the returned equipment! An experience like that can be frustrating. A simple transaction was complicated by poor communication.
Sadly, some people in our churches may encounter an impersonal response to their needs. Whether seeking marital counseling, childcare, guidance for a troubled teen, or a loving community, they come away feeling uncared for.
The first-century church was not perfect, but it faithfully helped others. The church at Jerusalem divided [their goods] among all, as anyone had need (Acts 2:45).
Good communication is the starting point for learning others needs. This enables us to provide personal and practical help to people when they need it. Resources, both material and spiritual, can then be directed to each person as the object of Gods personal love.
Well, hallelujah! F.R. is back up! ‘Bout had a nervous breakdown thinking it was my computer!
Billie, I just wanted to thank you for your sweet comments to all of us for our small contributions. But one thing we do have fun doing it!
Billie, I had that one’s commands in my files several months. Remember that I couldn’t figure out how to put my message at bottom without getting it in the frame. Thats one reason I didn’t post it a long time ago! Got that problem fixed with your help! LOL!
If I had it to do again I would add some pretty satiny white between the colors to go with the clouds. Maybe I can wrap it around another picture sometimes after I work on it.
That flower is breathing!
I’m here, Meg.....sorry to be offline so long. Thank you for the blood-hound graphic - that is SO cute!!
Of COURSE it is - you don't think I would send you all dead flowers, do you? ;-)
Bout time you came back!!! LOL
Seriously .... we missed you!
Thank you, Kitty Mittens. I missed YOU guys, too!
Not enought coffee, it freaked me out.
Hey, where have you been, anyway?!
Thanks for the link!
I hate it when this happens!
