Do you have something in particular to put over your head, Meg! Stay safe! This is the time of year for tornadoes to strike anywhere! And I think those hard thunderstorms are pretty bad also!
I love it, too!
I am preparing a VERY late dinner..potato’s in the oven.
Grab the mattress was the old recommendation..I can’t do that so I have a thick King sized comforter and pillows.., a wind up flashlight and battery radio at the ready..I have only contemplated using it once in this house..I ut my mother in her hall alcove covered once..It was straight line winds that night..eerie sound..Big trees were pulled out by the roots and some tree tops were broken like matchsticks..No damage at her house but her neighbors got hit.
I see 3 raccoons at the door..Dinner time.
Those little raccoons are getting a whiff of dinner cooking! Bet they’re sweet peeking in!
I have a young one that is so cute...As there are no lame ones ..I have stopped putting out cat food and just feed them sunflower seeds and peanuts..They still come.
One broke my new hummingbird feeder that I thought I had secured..I still love em...and so do the kitties.
Stay safe, Auntie Meg!
We NEED you!
Oh, Yorkie! Praying for your Protection, and the Fire’s Containment!
Awww, thank you, Kitty! (((((hugs))))
It does look huge....and I hope it’s out in the wilds and
not near any neighborhoods. How long has it been burning?
Luvie, it started day before yesterday - and after the sun sets, I can see the orange flames from my sliding glass doors. The helicopters are constantly going right over my house, with buckets of water, trying to put it out. I don’t know how many acres, so far, but it looks like it is at least two or three miles are consumed in flames.
I just hope no one is injured by this fire. It looks
very dangerous. Prayers that it’s not heading your way!
Seeing the flames like that must give you chills!
Just did a search - it is called the “Bear Fire” and was started by lightening. On Friday, it is/was 20 acres and at the time this article was published, was 60% contained.
Today was the scheduled ‘burn-out’ of 300 acres. I hope that is all under control, as that was the last article available.

Thanks for your concern, Luv. I sure hope they can put this thing out!
Thanks for the link.....glad they are on top of things.
Maybe it’ll be out by morning...just hope the winds don’t
get up and make it spread.
Take care!
Awww.. The radar looks like the bad part will skip us tonight..This line goes clear to Canada..
Beautiful coon eyed kitty..Thank you, jaycee.
Good Night, Sweet Dreams Everyone! I am sooooo sleepy!
Rest well, (((jaycee))).
Thank YOU, Meg, for looking after us all today,
So graciously, with beautiful graphics and words!
