I know some jokes, but I don't know any good political jokes!! Could everyone post some good jokes here?
Thanks,

To me, movies are “entertainment.” As such, they need “happy endings.” If I leave a theater feeling depressed, it was a waste of time and money, to me.
In LOTR, the ultimate ending was “happy,” so the time of drama was “acceptable.”
So, if I can’t have a good time, I don’t wanna go!!!
;o]
(a la Johnny Carson:)
Sunday mornings are the best time to drive in LA because all the Catholics are in church, the Jews are on the golf courses, the blacks are in jail and the Mexicans can’t get their cars started.
:o])
Oh, okay!
In these days of political correctness, I seldom have an opportunity to tell that joke. It might offend too many people....
The ending is happy. It’s all a bit stern and preachy, as one would expect from Ayn Rand, with the 50s-style thundering orchestra adding to it. A movie worth watching, if you’re willing to stay put through the heavy going — there are very few laughs, if any, in this movie.
Just think, Scottish week! OY!
And Sharkey says I'm obssessed!
LOTR was preachy?
1979: hellhole, couldn't wait to leave literally from the minute I got out of the cab
1999: it's a huge city but hey, this isn't bad at all (and what a difference)
2008: sliding back down
We can all cut loose on the Undead Thread, when we gotta!
I’m off to put my feet up and try to finish “Metternich.” It’s 1848, and the European revolutions are starting, finally, after 20 boring years. The Italian cities revolted (according to the author) because they decided to boycott Austrian-made cigarettes, didn’t have another source, and all got cranky from nicotine withdrawal!
TC, You could still mind the children and still do the readim=ngs at Mass, I do.
Oh, I thought you were talikng about Tolkien’s work being preachy, I’m noy familier with Ayn Rand. But you say she is preachy in her works.
Wouldn’t work. I used to, when there were fewer kids (and no Pat), but Times Have Changed.
Besides, we have plenty of lectors.
Okey Dokey!
And maybe some one can give thier opinion on what it could mean.
I was down south, I beleave it was in Tennessee and in a church, it wasn't a Catholic church.
I was at some sort of memorial service and they were singing this hymn that was really beautiful, I can't remember the words to it but it gave me a sense of well being.
Witch was broken when a woman in the congregation got up and started spouting off political diatribes and saying some thing folks shouldn't be saying in ANY church.
I tried to protest her actions as inappropriate for a church service but she only spoke louder.
The thing that really got me upset was that no-one would say anything to stop her and the preacher was silent as well.
I got up and stormed oput of the church saying this was no house of God that would allow such behavior.
now, was that a preminition of what is to come?
My first and only trip to NYC, 2006: Now I know why it was not on my list of Places I REALLY Want To See.
I don’t regret the trip. I just (still) don’t see what all the hype is about.
Did you have this dream just before you woke up in the morning? Or during the night and you woke up because of it?
You’ve earned every bit of relaxation you can get! Take care of you, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow!
Just before I woke up this morning.
Never go to church with Hillary Clinton.
