Speaking of which, Simon said Alexis' version was a copy of Dolly's, but it wasn't. I think Simon needs be familiar with the songs the contestants are doing. She didn't have the angst. Dolly's over-pronounced vibrato was also not present.
Sometimes Simon just whiffs completely. Which is we love him and love to hate him :)

Not sure if this has been discussed yet...
The Telepromter of the United States is holding a news conference next Tuesday night.

Are you suggesting we should not criticize the opinion of others? Exactly. Say which contestants you like or dislike, and why. And enjoy the show... we all have different tastes here, but we have enjoying the show, and the thread, in common.

That flat-chested little girl can't hold a candle to Dolly.

Says more about polls. I like Anoop. He’s lucky to be there and may be around awhile.

Sorry, disagree. If you don’t want your opinion disagreed with or questioned, don’t post. There should be a special thread for poster protection so no one will harm your opinion.

Limbaugh announced it and it was mentioned earlier. I can’t see anything on the Fox TV site. They will probably announce it during the show.

Now for my $.02, if anyone cares. And dang it if I wish I couldn't watch it along with you guys (dang east coasters) :)
Michael Sarver - "Ain't Going Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)"
Well, you ain't going down yet. You've been boring in past performances and even though the judges didn't like it so much, I like that you came out swinging in this performance.
Allison Iraheta - "Blame It on Your Heart"
Blame it on your voice for keeping you alive and well in this competition. You can sing girl.
Kris Allen - "Make You Feel My Love"
You make me feel something, but it isn't love...it's...it's......sleepy and bored.
Lil Rounds - "Independence Day"
I'd like to claim my Independence from getting what the hype is about you. And what's with the floofy dresses?
Simon was funny, when he kept calling you Little...rude, but funny.
Adam Lambert - "Ring of Fire"
You laid down a ring of fire, is what you did. I think Simon is a complete moron when it came to what you did and I think you did exactly what this show needs. You stayed true to who you are, what your style is and made the song (country or not) work. I love the rocker/metal voice you have, it's rare and a great talent. I'm tellin' ya.....Steelheart.....you're a great fit for any of those songs.
Scott MacIntyre - "Wild Angels"
Maybe if you had wild angels flying all over the stage, it might make your performance better. I agree with Paula in that, you need a better shtick. You can sing and play well, but it's the same song and dance every time, imo, and it's boring.
Alexis Grace - "Jolene"
Who is Jolene and better yet, why are YOU singing about her? I thought it was a really bad song choice.
Danny Gokey - "Jesus Take the Wheel"
Jesus take the mic and song book and help him pick one that suits him. Nice jacket.
Anoop Desai - "Always on My Mind"
Great, now this song is always on my mind with how you sang it. Ugh....I am NOT an Anoop fan.
Megan Joy Corkrey - "Walkin' After Midnight"
I'm going walkin' after this song....it didn't sound good at all. I love your voice, but dang girl....bad bad song choice.
Patsy Cline? Come on....
Matt Giraud - "So Small"
Your voice is so small for this song. I didn't think you did it justice and vice versa.

rickey.org has the sound and video very shortly after each performance, very fast.
I fear Meghan may go home tonight. I like her quirky phrasing and sound of her voice, even though she blew a couple of notes bad last night, maybe she would have hit them without the flu.
Reminds me of Melissa McGhee, who also had a unique voice that I really liked, a kind of husky, sexy sound that I really liked listening to. She forgot her words and went home early, but I really wanted to hear more from her.
I think Meghan will be able to deliver some unique performances if she stays, so many of the singers are so BORING this year, most can only sing in a certain, limited range, so much vanilla this year, and a drag queen to boot! Odd season, Alison can sing, Adam can sing, but please, he’s just too much, that was an abomination last night, I listened a few times to make sure I listened without prejudice, just like George Michael told me to and it still sucked.

Thanx. Why don’t they just give him a regular time slot for a tragi-comedy? Can’t Fox news cover it and let the rest us watch the usual pap?

Great idea, but it would be deemed "unfair" because not everyone can afford cable.
