The one commercial segment says the viewers get to choose things. Then somebody said 'give Sanjaya bees', then they showed a button being pressed and a bunch of bees surroung Sanjaya and him flailing away.

” Its hard to say now that they seem to be catering to the 4th judge so much. It used to be that they sang 3 songs. Some contestants would pick songs that they had already sung which is such a let down and a cop out IMO.

We are watching Idol in its entirety for the first time this year so have missed out on the process used for this part.
As someone mentioned earlier, they changed things a bit last year and of course now, who knows, what they will do.
Whatever it is we hope it tests the skills of both finalists
Both Kris and Adam are talented. But somehow as in the case of Chris Daughtry, I think that Allison will have the career with more longevity.

I read something a while back that said Kara will be writing the finale song...apparently she has entered the competition before but her song didn’t win so this year there won’t be a competition-they will just have Kara write it. Haven’t heard any more on that though so maybe they ditched the idea...

I agree. I won’t be shocked if Kris wins, despite all the hype already that we should just cancel next week and crown Adam the winner. Kris is contemporary and marketable. He has a young fan base that votes like crazy. Adam appeals to those who like Broadway or who look back on the good old days of ‘80’s glam/stadium rock—an older fan base. The kids don’t listen to that stuff. Throw in some votes from Danny’s fans and it may be Kris standing at the end.

He does have talent and sometimes does come across like a decent guy, but the items you mentioned just bug the crap out of me!

All the final 4 have some degree of professional/more than true amateur background.
Allison won the equivalent of Idol in a Spanish/English Telemundo competition also collecting $50,000. Not well publicized by searchable.
(Two years ago, Iraheta was the winner of Quinceañera: Mama Quiero Ser Artista, an Idol-styled singing competition on Telemundo.)
Danny teaches singing. Not exactly an amateur.
Chris has produced and recorded his own album prior to Idol.
Yes, Adam in comparison is a pro having had broadway show type experience. Wicked for example.
Let the best person win in the end. These are not newbies to the music profession.
