There could be one hundred billion Earth-like planets in our galaxy, a US conference has heard.
(Excerpt) Read more at news.bbc.co.uk ...
God separated these planets and stars far apart for a reason. Based on how well we get along on this planet we probably would not want to come into contact with other civilizations. We could be exterminated.
Huzzah! I’ve entered this thread early on.
Pings.
Thats all Obama had to hear. Lets start a government program that will get ready for immigration from other planets. Dam, to late, they already passed it Friday...Next one....
“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places;...”

Interesting. I remember our pastor way back in 69 preaching about space. He conjectured that yes there were humans on other worlds light years distant, but they had never fallen from grace. In that respect we alone were “special”.
I’ll need directions...and quick!
I wonder if there are Mexican illegals there...?
thanks Jedi Master Pikachu.

Well good. Maybe us Conservatives can all rocket to one of these “new Earths” and start anew. Maybe we can set up some intelligent life THERE, because the ‘RATS are sure close to putting us over the cliff here!
No there doesn't. ...not that I don't think there is I just think there really isn't any logic to the statement.
If there is intelligent life elsewhere, it's probably an apex predator like humans. Since there can only be one apex predator it will most likely see us as competitors and wipe us out, if its technology is sufficiently advanced.
As I recall, scripture states that the entire CREATION has been groaning ever since the fall of man and all is anxiouslly waiting, groaning until the sons of God are revealed at the last. I reckon it’s all part of the total creation.
It would seem only the arrogant, or possibly ignorant amongst us would suggest out of the potential of hundreds of billions of planets, we are somehow the only planet to have life.
Galaxy has ‘billions of Earths’
Pity the poor Galaxy.
Yup you are right.
