My Grandma fried either sausage, ham or bacon every morning for breakfast. She used lard in everything. (Best pie crust in the world, btw!) When she was 91, she cut her finger, and it needed stitches. So, my aunt took her to the doctor. He asked her, “And, when was your last physical?” She didn’t have a clue what he was talking about, as she had never stepped foot in a doctor’s office.
I have friends who eat ‘only heart healthy’ food, and they are at the doctor’s every single week with ailments and problems. The people I have seen walking around in the health food store do not appear to be the healthiest (i.e. walking zombies?) - and guess what? I have never seen a smile or heard laughter from any one of them. (I only go in there for one thing that isn’t sold anywhere else, and then exit immediately.)

That’s so cute, jaycee..Something as simple as using only one quotation mark instead of two can mess it all up..
or failing to separate words (imgsrc instead of img src}can cause a blank.
I am great at doubling a bracket..and it messes things up..I know my usual mistakes by now and that makes it easier to find and correct.
I’ve posted some big mistakes..and am grateful when the mod deletes them for me.
IIRC I posted a 250 wide border once instead of a 25 width..didn’t really hit me in preview.
I had copied the framed graphic on a notepad with the mistake and saved it without correcting.. and darned if I did not post it again!
Sigh

When my son made pictures out of my old slides..I wanted my kids small again so I could read them more stories, hug them over and over and hold them in my lap and relive some moments...and not be so busy as I was back then!
I love them now that they are 50ish and still hug them every chance I get.
I must go fix lunch..I will be back late afternoon.

Montreal, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, no further west. We have friends and family from your east coast as well as our own. I guess we’re coasties. I’d love to see Vancouver and and a few other spots and you’re right, I’d come in summer or thereabouts. I like cool weather as well as cool people.
Where I’ve been I was impressed by the way you guys enjoy life and one of the unexpected highlights was the Pictou Lobster Festival serving lobster for breakfast. Way too cool.

When they have a lot of not-too-old rotting veggies compost heaps stink in hot summer, sure. Maybe my memories are just more romantic than yours.

LOL! I heard you had an alarm on your computer that goes off, when the word 'margarita' appears. ROTF!! I'm laughing so hard here, and Lindy keeps looking at me like, "Oh, no! Mom's lost it!

Good evening, friends.
Thanks so much for the wonderful Valentine's graphics.
Special thanks to Amy, and LaEnchiladita for that nice video. MamaBear, your graphic is so sweet, and I love Meg's graphic as well, thanks. The same goes to Kitty, GodBless, and Yorkie for their lovely graphics. And of course, Mayor, your enlightening posts are always a blessing. I'm not forgetting Jaycee, who is always so sweet.
Thanks all, and I hope you are enjoying a blessed Sunday.
While Faith is with me, I am blest;
It turns my darkest night to day;
But while I clasp it to my breast,
I often feel it slide away.
Then, cold and dark, my spirit sinks,
To see my light of life depart;
And every fiend of Hell, methinks,
Enjoys the anguish of my heart.
What shall I do, if all my love,
My hopes, my toil, are cast away,
And if there be no God above,
To hear and bless me when I pray?
Oh, help me, God! For thou alone
Canst my distracted soul relieve;
Forsake it not: it is thine own,
Though weak, yet longing to believe.
Oh, drive these cruel doubts away;
And make me know, that Thou art God!
A faith, that shines by night and day,
Will lighten every earthly load.
