Yes - that is what I see from my kitchen window. Thanky, JC!
This is so beautiful...the lovely rose and scripture!
Good Afternoon, Kitty!
This turkey will chase the UPS truck..Once kept a deliveryman in his truck..terrified..but is very nice to me..I should leave a note and tell the postman to spread the word that a few seeds would distract him.
He likes watching my kitties and they like watching him..
Silky got out yesterday and they were doing fine together..I let her stay out briefly because she is so good about letting me bring her in and she sticks close.
I think you are right about Ben Franklin’s wishes.
This turkey is beautiful..but I am happy the Bald Eagle was chosen.
beautiful!
I have that saved..Isn’t it awesome!
I am so happy to hear you have warmed up! Of course I would be talking about our cold temps if we were 30..LOL
I thought we all might be ready for it..I love to post flowers any day and everyday..
;o)
Just wonderful, Lady!
LJ, it is 37 here at the High Desert, right now. Snow will start later this afternoon, and continue through tomorrow. It is predicted that we will get 1” to 3”, but I can almost guarantee it will be at least 6”.

Maybe your turkey doesn’t like uniforms? Althoug UPS doesn’t have much of one...
Toms are extra brutall in mating season. Have had him through one?
You always post the most beautiful flowers and they seem extra bright today. ;-)
I think he has been here a year..I’m not sure..I watched him chase the UPS truck while I was talking to the postman..He is the one who told me about the terrified deliveryman..
The “owner” called him his “watch turkey.”.which made no sense to me after all our calm interaction..Perhaps he considers the street part of his territory..LOL
He will hang around for hours on my patio. He’s still here..grooming himself.
That seems a lot of snow for you. Have you had much snow this season? We’re getting a break this week and will have rain Wednesday instead of the usual snow. :-D
Thank you, Lady..Brighter,perhaps, because I searched for fields and beds of flowers.I have a cloudy day so they are a nice brightener for me, too..
We have rain predicted ..I pray we get it..we are so dry here.
My nose would really appreciate a nice downpour cleansing the air.
Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I love that picture of “The Eye of God”!
It is in the 30’s here, too and guess what? It doesn’t ‘feel like spring’. The rain mixed with snow has started, and the mountians are already blanked with white.
A guy I know has two watch-toms. Had to get a P.O. box because they hate the mailman and ganged up on him.
They are usually good with their “owner” except when occasionally the two birds rile each other up and then no one is safe. They're like whacked out brothers.
Yes..He brought him here when he moved in..I had thought he was part of a flock I had seen before until he told me.
I have no experience with “pet” toms and did not know they were like this!
I am happy there is just one and he likes me! He bothers none of the people who drive up in my driveway..My kids think he’s great. He stays at the front a lot, too. His owner lives across from me.
He is large..so I would be very intimidated were he to “turn” on me...and very surprised.
