Please pray for my best friend Jimmy, who is in a hospital in Louisiana in critical condition. We have been best friends since elementary school back in Beaumont. We went all the way through school together, then joined the Marine Corps and went to boot camp together. He was the best man at my wedding and the pall beared at my dad's (a WWII vet) funeral. We have been very close through the years. I am leaving for the 4 hour trip to Baton Rouge as soon as I get off the computer. I won't be able to respond until I return on Sunday as they are "computer deprived." Thanks for all the prayers.
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

Prayers up for Jimmy! Thank you both for your service to our country.
Update*****
First of all, I would like to thank you for all your Prayers!
Talked to Jimmy’s wife last night. He is stronger and is responding to physical therapy. The pneumonia appears to be getting better as well. The prayers are working so far.
He’s having another MRI done today or tomorrow.
I had a nice visit with his Priest the other night when he came by for a Pastoral visit. He is a very nice gentleman.
While I am a strong Protestant Episcopalian, Jim is an equally strong Catholic. We’re living proof that Catholics and Protestants can and do get along well!
We will head back to Baton Rouge Thursday A.M. and I will provide another update when I get back home.
Prayers for his continued progress and safe trip for you.
Prayers are up!
Thank you for the update. Prayers up.
Thank you, BnBlFlag and Jimmy, for your service. God bless.
Sad update. Jimmy just passed away last night. Apparently the cancer spread quickly and more than they had originally thought. My parents were planning on going today to visit again as they had been told he was taking a turn for the worse. They will leave today anyway and go to be with his wife and family to give them comfort. They are grateful that the last visit they had was a good one and that they were able to spend some good time together. Please pray for peace and comfort for the family. Thank you very much for all the prayers.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and his family.

God bless his family and rest his soul.

Prayer BUMP
Merciful Father: Please safe-keep our Brother on his journey to Louisiana, ease Jimmy’s pain and suffering, comfort his Loved Ones. Amen.
Offering prayers.
Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.
Semper Fidelis,

My sincerest PRayers for your best friend and prayers for your safe trip.
God Bless
My most sincere sympathies to your father on the loss of his friend.
Heavenly Father, bless and keep Jimmy’s family and friends. Comfort them all in their time of grief, watch over them as they mourn the loss, and may You receive the soul of our dear departed Brother in Arms into your loving presence. In Jesus name, AMEN.
My condolences for the loss of your love one, and for the Marine that lost such a valued friend.
