Prayer request for my best friend

Please pray for my best friend Jimmy, who is in a hospital in Louisiana in critical condition. We have been best friends since elementary school back in Beaumont. We went all the way through school together, then joined the Marine Corps and went to boot camp together. He was the best man at my wedding and the pall beared at my dad's (a WWII vet) funeral. We have been very close through the years. I am leaving for the 4 hour trip to Baton Rouge as soon as I get off the computer. I won't be able to respond until I return on Sunday as they are "computer deprived." Thanks for all the prayers.

My parents got back late last night from Baton Rouge. They say that Jimmy is doing a little better. He has cancer, and then he came down with pneumonia, which put him in the hospital. He may have also had a minor stroke. They were doing physical therapy to help his motor skills. He was very cheered to see my dad and share some old stories with the kids. They are going to go back on Thursday and stay the weekend again. Thanks for all the prayers! Will update more as we hear more news.

Regardless of the cancer, let us all believe HE WHO CAN, will hear the many heartfelt prayers and in HIS perfect will provide a way out for your best friend, perhaps a full cure if it is in HIS will. Keep the faith.
