The weekend is here! Yippee!!
Hey, there you go. That’s it. It was so, so, so, good. But, it is total carbs. So, only for the holiday period when the low-carb goes out the window and I do my beached whale imitation.
I want to congratulate the AUBURN ALABAMA POST OFFICE. They just called to let us know our passports are in their facillity. Yippee! We WILL get them this morning. We WILL leave today.
THEY CALLED US because they knew I was looking for it and wanted to be helpful.
WAR EAGLE! WAY TO GO, AUBURN!
Thanks so much for the start, lysie! We had a more-than-70 degree swing in temperatures from Thursday to yesterday, from -44 to the mid-twenties. I never thought I’d be so grateful to stand outside without a coat (only briefly) on a sunny day in the 20’s! And the dog finally ventured off the covered patio to do her “thing”, since she was out for more than 45 seconds at a time.
Finally, my dad came home from the hospital yesterday. We’ll see how well he and my mom cope with all the instructions.
Morning! I think we should make all of these comfort foods next week. Will need a lot of comfort.
I turned on the TV this morning for local news and weather and the first thing I see is a company in GREEN BAY(do you hear this Mozie?)making Obama medallions! Mute!Mute!
Yeah! Have a safe trip Jem. Will be thinking of you till we hear you have arrived safe and sound.
I’m with you; I wouldn’t survive on a low-carb regime. Or a low-fat one either. My blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels are all very good, and I think the key to that was eating home-cooked, sensible food and exercising at SOMETHING (whatever you choose) faithfully.
Traveling mercies plus to you and hubby.
I love pototos too - anytime and anywhere. They are NOT, however, on the low-glycemic index list. So - limited.
We need a picture of that outfit!
Well that is great news on two fronts!
God speed - LONG commute!
The second pix is what is on back
Good Morning Everyone. It’s a beautiful day in central Texas, coolish, sun is shining.
Happy to hear your passports have arrived, Jem. Safe travels to Paupau.
By the way, thanks for breakfast and I am sure I will survive for the next week, got plenty of grits, eggs a few slices of bread for toasting, bunches of coffee and with the way you display your breakfast I am sure I will NOT forget to eat.
Getting ready for the president change, oh my goodness, what are we in for and I think it will NOT be a good ting.
THANKS ‘W’ for all you have done for us and keeping us safe on our shores, you are the best, all of us alway on the top of your list to keep protected.
Got to clean the the ‘shack in the back’ and just maybe go into town. I do have to take several boxes to churches for donated bibles and Christian novels, take to the jails.
Talk to you later and again, thanks.
Toby
Morning, cold here on the Gulf Coast this morning.
Thank you for breakfast, lysie. Now I’m off to make some coffee.
The men’s assoc is having a golf tourney today and our German friend was asked to join them, unfortunately it’s a men’s only. I’ll be taking his wife shopping today.
This is really, really not a good weekend to go to North Alabama. They will be cold. Quite cold.
OTOH, are they going to Lake Guntersville? That is nice all year ‘round. Tell them to get up very early in the AM and go to a high point where they can see a long distance, and preferably over the lake. If they do that, I can pretty well guarantee they WILL SEE BALD EAGLES! They should also hike along Little River Canyon. That is excellent hiking, both on the top or down next to the river. I was going to say “in the river” but this week it is sure to have shards of ice going through it.
I’m closing up shop now. We’ve already checked in for our USA trips. We’ve confirmed with our international flights and are good to go.
Dad is taking us out for brunch in half-an-hour. I’ll finish putting things in the bags now and be on the way.
I will surface again sometime your Monday night or during the overnight.
Love, love.
I’m leaving on a jet plane....
Stay safe!
Enjoy that Florida sunshine. Our day will come.
