This is really, really not a good weekend to go to North Alabama. They will be cold. Quite cold.
OTOH, are they going to Lake Guntersville? That is nice all year ‘round. Tell them to get up very early in the AM and go to a high point where they can see a long distance, and preferably over the lake. If they do that, I can pretty well guarantee they WILL SEE BALD EAGLES! They should also hike along Little River Canyon. That is excellent hiking, both on the top or down next to the river. I was going to say “in the river” but this week it is sure to have shards of ice going through it.
New Camper, young, just HAD to try it out, ummm, I think we were young once and did some things that make no sense to us now.
COLD! That is the reason I am staying here, don't want to go to a colder place to ‘vacate’.
